Dude, you're the expert on crazy. You've backed up your absurd argument with absolutely ZERO evidence or logic. Vitali, third longest combined title reigns in HW history. 7th longest consecutive defense reign in HW history. Fury??? Get out of here kid.
Jesus man. Herbie hide could rack up all those defences if it was against the like of sosnowski. I'm talking QUALITY here. And if fury beats wlad again, that's two QUALITY, WORLD CLASS wins. Where he is the man at heavyweight. Vitali was never the man. He only defended against cans. Also he was a ped cheat. So much so fury refused to drink their water
I wouldn't go that far. Shocking is a strong word. If you want a shocking resume in relation to perceived h2h ability or hype received then Vitali doesn't hold a candle to Michael Grant (prior to his exposure and coughing up his zero). He did beat: Sanders and Johnson by KO, Hide, Donald, Peter, Adamek by shutout and stoppage, Ribalta, Solis (FWIW, given the anti-climax), Hoffman and Mahone when both were ranked & unbeaten, Arreola, Chisora, Bean, Gomez, not-yet-shot Williams, Briggs and Johnson by dominant shutout, and Norris by KTFO1. That is absolutely nothing to sneeze at, cumulatively. I'd strongly disagree with anyone claiming that isn't a good resume. It just isn't great to match the era-traversing world-beating status bestowed on Vitali in hypothetical match-ups (and vastly weaker than his brother's resume, no matter how much better people think Vitali was h2h). [I left off Charr and Sosnowski intentionally, for the record, because tbh I consider them both Euro-grade hype jobs of little worth on Vitali's resume, even compared with the weakest of the names I listed above] Compare with Grant when undefeated: basically a one-hit wonder having twice gotten off the canvas to stop Golota. Scratching below that surface you have a thrice-chinned Gonzalez, club fighter Savarese, and T-Rex. Yet the way he was spoken of ahead of the Lewis fight you would think he was a surefire ATG in the making. Vitali's resume is good. ...but it doesn't measure up to what high regard in which Vitali is held, that's for sure.
Everyone who's not a dyed in the wool K hater (obviously not you Dino). Even Jab, who loaths Vitali, has admitted he's top 25. Stats include: 3rd longest total title time in history 7th longest consecutive defense title reign in history Only top 25 HW never kd'd 2nd best ko percentage in history Best rounds won percentage in hw title history 9 consecutive defenses (top 10-12 all time) Of whom, about 5 were against top 10ish opponents (only about 10 champs in history who can say that) VK's resume is really underrated on these boards, even by his supporters. But there's absolutely no rational argument, looking at the above stats, that he's not top 25. Fringe top 10 is very fair.
I like Vitali. Was a big fan of his , but his resume was terrible and greats never failed the passing of the torch like he did. Im a realist , not a fanboi. http://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=138888&sid=71e87428bcf4fa9261d9f12cdff37bb0
And what do you think of him H2H, he gave Lewis (widely considered the best H2H heavyweight eveR) a run for his money. Sure, a past prime Lewis but nonetheless not shot or anything that Klitschko's detractors would like to claim.
Very good h2h. I hesitate to say great, though, or place him a top 5 lock all-time (or go as far as favoring him over everyone, including a prime Lewis and the ATG's that rank above him) as some do.
Pathetic non answers. And to answer them: He wasn't kd'd by Sanders. Not officially, and not in reality, I've explained this repeatedly, I know it must be hard for someone of your limited intelligence to comprehend. Quality competition historically, as explained in prior posts. The ko percentage speaks for itself, as does the rounds won percentage.
