Personally not outraged but I’m still going to call it what it is...garbage... I have the means to watch it without paying but I won’t even be getting out of bed for it... To be fair, I expect BT realise this so will probably have the same number of viewers whether PPV or not...might as well rinse the few mugs that will buy it.
I thought fury was the fighting man who didn’t care about money and wanted to take on the best for honour???
I wouldn't watch Fury beat up the Swedish meatball at 5am if it was free. I'll watch it at some point on youtube when I've nothing better to do . And I'm a big admirer of Fury's skills. But this is a completely pointless and uncompetitive fight.
Full of it. Just like BJS. They talk about being "fighting men", but they do more talking than actual fighting. The only Irish fighter out there who fights killers is Conor McGregor. The rest are just pretending... Golovkin will be 80 when BJS fights him and Canelo will be a crusier! Fury won't fight Wilder, ever. He got dropped twice and nearly got decapitated, no chance he gets in with him again. If Wilder can connect twice like that then it doesn't matter what shape Fury gets into, Wilder will get him again.
There's heavy criticism on this thread too. People are just resigned to the fact that it's happening because we've known for a while.
It's not like it's even on UK time, it's on at 5AM, who ever pays for this needs their head testing, I have methods to watch it for free but won't bother getting up
Even at this point Takam is still ranked above Wallin and for good reason. And when he fought Joshi as a late sub, he was borderline top10 at the time. Wallin is borderline top50, which is quite the difference.
Because (in my opinion and no offense to fans) Fury already lost to Wilder, and Ruiz and Wilder are thus much more interesting. Just throwing that out there, not sure myself of this assertion lol. Though in my eyes Wilder got robbed against Fury, hard.
You're right, but at the moment I don't care what they do with these Fury pantomime fights. Fury is now allegedly a ppv fighter from here on out. So until Wilder 2 I probably won't be watching him live. No great loss if the standard of opponent remains the same. BT Sport screened Kovalev v Yarde in HD and, an unexpected treat, without any adverts in between the rounds so we could watch Buddy and Tunde at work. A far better fight than the Fury show is likely to be and at a reasonable time. I enjoyed it and I think they're fulfilling their part of the boxing bargain better than Sky so far this year.
I gave the Schwarz fight a pass seeing as he’d just gone life and death with Wilder. I see absolutely no point in this fight though. It’s a pudding too far, it’s uninspiring and I find it insulting that they’ve put it on ppv. If he can’t get Wilder yet, i’d like to see him in with another top heavyweight that would justify (if you even can) a PPV fight.
