really he won his fist title in what 6 years ago he ducked the rematch with Wladamir never defended any of teh three titles he won... Doesn't help he was a steroid cheat
If Dillian believes in himself he would take 20% Who does he and Hearn think he is? Aj? Lol He is a fat bum and 20% from Fury is as good as he will get. He is just looking a pay day and hoping to land a lucky punch. He is a plodder
Do you have a link for that? I also read that previously in their documentation. So I was surprised what @Brighton bomber wrote, but it does appear they have updated their rules on their website. If true, this will be the second time the WBC have changed something to directly screw with Whyte.
What part in Whyte turning down a world title fight with AJ over the purse split did Fury play? If you're gonna bring up track records...
Fury vs Joyce would be a good British heavyweight fight, and it be much easier to make than Fury vs Whyte. And also easy to make is Fury vs Dubois, who is ranked by the WBA. That's another (albeit less appealing) possibility.
All of you who are giving Fury another pass, are not legitimate boxing fans. You are all his little bitches, nothing more. This man has 1 title defense. 1. Not 10, not 5, 1. And now he wants to duck his mandatory? And you are all ok with it? Just like you were ok when he faked Covid? When he took Nandrolone? When he faked mental illness and depression? Exactly when will you hold this man accountable for everything he has done and said? And purse splits? That's the reason why you all do not want to see 2 top 5 heavyweights fight???? This is sad
£3-5 million with a one way rematch clause where the loser (AJ) would take the majority of the purse. That's Joshua (at the height of his popularity)to rematch Whyte, the WBC#1, WBO#1 and Ring#4 at Wembley. Seems fair...
He didn't believe in himself against AJ (though after the Ruiz fiasco, he wished he did) and he doesn't believe in himself against Fury. He also seems to have a victim complex and derives perverse satisfaction in being continually "screwed over" by the WBC and pretending that other heavyweights are afraid of him.
http://www.wbcboxing.com/downloads/NEW_RULES_AND_REGULATIONS_WEB_FINAL_2009.pdf Hearn also said it's 45 - 55, unless WBC decide something else. "The purses are almost secondary to the fight being ordered," Hearn told IFL TV. "The interim champion can receive up to 45 percent of a purse split. “You’re talking about the rules. Interim world champion rules can be up to 55-45 on a split, so that’ll be decided by the WBC,” Hearn continued.
Thanks, I could only find an older set of rules too (those are 2009). But various Newspapers have also been reporting the WBC rules as you say, only last month. So it really looks like the WBC are slyly changing their rules to screw with Whyte... Just like they slyly went back, wiped all the older web pages, so that they could slyly rewrite history and make Breazeale the mandatory to Wilder. The WBC really are a despicable organization
