You mean every poll on this site? (LOL) On this site, Wilder lost to Butterbean, if I'm not mistaken. I've been on here for years, the only time I saw Wilder win a poll on this British site was when he was picked to beat Jim Jeffries, and the guy who started the thread was beside himself because Wilder loses to everyone in every poll. Wilder polls are troll magnets. The only thing that matters is what happens in the ring. Wilder floored Fury twice and won seven rounds on an official card in fight one. No reigning heavyweight champ has ever lost a decision when he floored his challenger twice (and didn't go down himself). In two fights, Fury won 10 rounds. Wilder won 9. Both scored two knockdowns a piece. Bring on fight three.
Talk about revisionist history. You state all of the facts, but leave out context. You failed to mention how Wilder was completely blown away in the 2nd fight without an ounce of resistance, and got stopped brutally (yet valiantly). If the 3rd fight comes off, so be it. There are worse fights to have, as Wilder is a top contender and I would certainly watch it. But I would much rather see Fury against just about anyone else in the top 10 because at this point a trilogy fight is beating a dead horse. And that horse is Wilder. Just don't add the two fights together and create the narrative that it was a close pair of fights. Even if you think the draw was deserved, the absolute flattening in the 2nd fight is enough to move on.
We are talking about people who watched the fights. No problem. In a way, I feel very happy for you. It is a curse of sorts when you realize that Batman is always going to beat the Joker, and thus, it is not worth watching the movie. A guy like you enters every theater a blank slate.
It certainly is a tough sell after the last go, especially with all the drama from the Wilder camp. I am more interested in Fury-Joshua.
