Fury vs Wilder

If this fight happens (and I don't believe it will, well not this year anyway) it will prove without a shadow of a doubt that Wilder is ducking AJ. He'll get paid a fraction of what he'd make for that fight.

No way he's ready by December

 

The Seferi performance was poor but it didn’t really give too much away as to where he’s at.

Let’s see his next performance and we will see how far away he actually is.

 

Honestly they both want that real money fight against AJ so neither will risk it.. At this stage Wilder would get a ko win and boost his profile but Fury would get nothing out of it..

Both just trying to stay in the spotlight tbh..

 

Fury obviously wasnt fit enough in the Seferi fight and his timing looked off. How much was that down to him coming down so much in weight and him clowning around not taking his opponent seriously and not him not being capable to beat a Wilder ?

 

It’s a way harder fight stylistically for Wilder, so hardly a duck.

 

Be interesting to see what happens. Big gamble by Wilder but maybe a smart one, catch Fury before he gets his act together.

On the other hand Fury might look awful until he's in with a live body again, maybe needs that feeling of threat to actually bring a performance out of him.

Whilst I'm not unconvinced that this isnt just Fury (and DW) trying to stay relevant whilst AJ, Pov, Whyte and Parker are currently in the limelight, I'm actually praying the fight gets made. I don't want to watch Fury fight another 2-3 meaningless exhibitions whilst proclaiming he's the real champion and I'm bored of hearing about the AJ/Wilder non negotiations.

 

Try getting a bet on Wilder at those prices - you would be chased out the premises quicker than a shoplifter

 

Fury would have beat Wilder when he was 400 pounds.

 

Too soon IMO but I can see the angle from both sides.

Obviously if Fury wins, that's absolutely huge. If Wilder wins, that's a big bargaining chip for him against AJ. And it prevents Hearn from spouting the 'no one knows Wilder' fallacy.

 

I think both camps have come together to try to unsettle Hearn/AJ and indirectly sky a little bit. Eddie is looking to smug thinking he holds all of the cards with his sign the contract nonsense, so they are trying to show that Wilder and later down the line when/if he is ready Fury have the option of fighting each other.

Whilst most unbiased people accept Hearn would be happy to delay AJ-Wilder for as long as possible, I can see Sky getting a little nervous about potentially losing the mega PPV. Smith and co will be happy to back Hearn with his povetkin/Whyte strategy in the shorterm but I think they will want Team Wilder to be on board with what’s going on IMO so that that fight remains on the table.

 

Absolute farce that Fury 'might' get a chance to fight for a world title after having fought one severe bum in years. Once he has beaten a couple of top 20 fighters then maybe he should be considered. Then again take klitschko out the equation and furys biggest opponents (apart from himself) is Derek Chisora and a prizefighter winner from Ireland. It's almost laughable that he 'thinks' he is ready for Wilder
