Fury wants to commit suicide with Usyk

Usyk wins by decision. I see Usyk have more desire to win this one. Fury will be too slow at 270 lbs.

Fury sees weaknesses in Usyk

AJ is not even half the fighter compared to Fury. AJ is literally only better in 1 department, raw power.

Do not be surprised when Fury gets in the ring and literally absorbs Usyk. It will be a sad sight to see him disappear into Fury's being.

IF Fury shows up like he did against Wallin & in the 3rd Wilder bout then it will be a hard fight. But a fresh threat means Fury should be banging on all cylinders. He wouldn't fight Usyk with a naff elbow like he did against Wilder because he knows he needs them tools.

Hell and if AJ can land 1 concussive punch on Usyk then don't be surprised to see him beat Usyk! People are writing AJ off too fast because he's a big stiff idiot but even big stiff idiots can do things to you.

 

AJ absolutely did put miles on Usyk's odometer. More scar tissue around the eyes is bad against a guy with a long, strong jab.

I'm tired of trying to predict what Usyk or Fury will do next, but if they do meet I predict a classic along the lines of Ali-Frazier 1 or 3. I know putting this out there will make me look stupid when it flops but I really believe it.

Fury isn't a dancer anymore and Usyk has shown he can and will punch with a big guy. This won't be the hesitant, tactical matchup that Fury vs AJ would have been.

We should pass the hat for AJ's step aside money because Fury vs Usyk will be much better than AJ vs Usyk (and it's not like that fight sucked either).

Usyk's 8-4/9-3 win over AJ in Britain was an ATG win but as some of us have been saying for a long time, Fury is much better than AJ.

The idea that Usyk will stop Fury is not borne out by the facts: Usyk only stopped the worst 3 of his 7 best cruiser opponents (faded Huck, Mchunu, Bellew) and didn't stop Chisora or AJ, all of whom are easier to stop than Fury.

Fury and Usyk have one common opponent in Chisora and the last time Fury and Chisora fought was 7+ years ago in one of the most one-sided high level fights you'll ever see, while Usyk-Chisora was by consensus an 8-4 kind of fight.

Prior to Usyk, AJ had fought exactly 1 southpaw in his professional career (completing 1 full round against Charles Martin) Fury has fought 7 southpaws (completing 43 full rounds). Even though only one of the southpaws was high level (6'5, 240 lbs Wallin) Fury has had vastly more ring experience against them and just as importantly, far more sparring experience against them in preparation for his southpaw fights. In addition, Fury wanted to fight southpaw Chagaev in late 2012 but Chagaev didn't want the fight. Fury also has the experience of fighting a high level 6'3 cruiser mover in Cunningham, while AJ had never fought one in the pros and hadn't fought a mover since the Olympics, at least one and possibly two of which beat him. Fury has won 8 professional wars and drawn 1, AJ had won 3 wars and lost 1 prior to Usyk and Usyk has won 2 wars in the pros (Briedis, Chisora).

Fury will not underestimate "the Ukrainian master" Usyk as he did Cunningham and Wallin and will be totally motivated to beat him, especially as Usyk has already beaten AJ.

 

It's good mind games for Usyk to say that but I doubt it. If he could have dropped Chisora or AJ at will he would have done so because he could have potentially got robbed in Britain (the judges had it 7-5 Usyk vs Chisora and 8-4 Usyk vs AJ but he didn't know that). He didn't intend on going life and death with Briedis either and he could have easily have lost there if the Latvian judges hadn't been scrupulously honest.

I'm looking forward to you pulling the "Usyk was past his best, the WSB version would have beaten Fury".

 

MAYBE he was holding back in the fight with Chisora, but this level of confidence is delusional.

 

Usyk will embarrass Fury so badly that the Gyp will again retreat into drugs, booze and food.
And he'll have more excuses for his loss than Wilder and Lopez put together. Now he has tendon problems? From what, lifting points of beer? What next? His Roman Centurion outfit squeezed his head too hard?

 

I suppose Usyk was playing possum against short and stocky pressure fighter Nistor too...
