This fight is not happening folks.

Dillian has identitied a niche for himself. Facing sub standard HWs and 40 year olds on big PPV for big money. Earning a decent amount each time whilst trying to avoid defeat and keeping the gravy train going.

Then when a real title challenge comes along against an elite HW who has the beating of him. Turn it down by pricing yourself out.

Why did Dillian turn down £6m-£7m for the AJ HW title shot when Ruiz Jr took it?
Why did Dillian turn down the world title shot away to Pulev?
Why is Dillian now pricing himself out of the Fury title shot?

Who did he fight instead of taking the AJ title shot? He fought Marius Wach. Did he earn £6-£7m for that fight against Wach?

If he doesnt fight Fury next, then guaranteed he fights someone lower ranked for less money instead.

Spot on. One more stoppage and Whyte's career is over. He's trying to save that last big fight as he cash out.

You also have Tyson not wanting to fight anyone of note. So yeah, fight won't happen.

HW is a joke. Definitely needs a "Super 6" format to sort it out.

20% is fair. Fury earns £20m plus a fight. Most of it coming from the US, were Whyte is unknown. If Whyte took the offered 25% plus incentives he would have properly ended up making £5-8m.

Whyte's not a huge draw at all.
He rode on the coat tails of AJ hype on SKY for a while, but looking like **** against Wach and getting sparked by Povetkin probably brought many of those PPV Mugths to their senses. No one really cares that he won the rematch in Gibraltar. It is clear as day that he's not a serious player in the division. Yeah, he brings a little to the table, but not much.

Whyte will be crying a lot about his split. Best just keep the mouth shut and talk about the fight because it is what it is.

I hope and think you're wrong here, but can definitely see where you're coming from.

IMHO, this is it for him.

Mandatory for the title. Court of public opinion is turning against him after the Wallin fiasco. He'll be 34 in April. Opponent is British, opponent is hugely popular, opponent hasn't boxed in the UK since 2018. There will be huge interest - this is several times bigger than Brook v Khan.

If Whyte loses - and assuming Joshua doesn't perform a miracle against Usyk - I can already see Hearn plotting Joshua v Whyte II: The Redemption for the autumn. And if he somehow wins? Whyte v Usyk / Joshua for the undisputed.

Now's his time. If he doesn't take it, then he's an even bigger fool than I thought.

Amazing on twitter how much people hang on everything Hearn says.

They lodged his official purse as 300k, and people are crying poverty over him being offered 5m.

Whyte’s been badly let down by his advisors by declaring that 300k purse for his last fight.

Should have learnt the lesson from those self employed tradesmen at the start of furlough I suppose.

Don’t declare your true earnings and karma will catch up with you

    Fair play to Whyte anyway.
If he wants to make demands that won't be met because he over values himself, that's his right, that's his business.
If he wants to win the world heavyweight championship, if he wants to challenge the best in the world, he needs to accept an offer. But if that goes against his own career plans, let him do his thing.
Hopefully whatever he decides, it won't hold up other fighters' careers too much.

It will also be on Whyte's mind that if Fury turns up in any kind of shape their fight will be a carbon copy of Fury v Chisora II.

Winning this fight should be what propels him to being a PPV star, but that's been engineered for him anyway,. It'll take a lot for him to agree to getting his head jabbed to a pulp for 30 minutes.

Well I was calling tyson a duck but now that we have clarity the balls in whtyes court.

I think the split is a joke but it is what it is that's the ruling now whyte has the choice to accept or try to negotiate and lose the fight.

Does he value the money more or the belt.

The guy is a fraud. He has pulled out of numerous eliminators, priced himself out of a Joshua fight and a shot at the unified titles. He’s now pricing himself out of the fury fight.

He is 1-1 in his last 2 fights, and got absolutely banjoed by a shot Povetkin.
