Will the fight happen in the UK though? ESPN are not fronting up all of this money for afternoon fights.

This would be a good fight for Fury a stay busy affair. Fury outboxes Whyte fairly easily i do believe. Do I believe it will do huge number yes if its on ESPN a character as colorful, as big, as Fury should produce good numbers! Hoping here in the states he becomes more of a name really enjoy watching the guy!

Ah yes, I forgot all UK boxing fans religiously stop watching fights outside of the UK after 11pm. Good point.

I still can’t get my head around the notion that American audiences will be turning out in their droves to watch Fury or Whyte.

It would be much bigger if its held in the UK instead of the US. It would do big numbers either way, it's the second and third best British HWs with Fury being in 2 PPV fights and Whyte being in 3 or 4 before. Still if people are suggesting it would do bigger numbers than a AJ fight then no. You could stick AJ in with Tom Little and it would still do bigger numbers, he's just that popular.

Arum is 87, time isn't on his side. I think we may see it sooner rather than later.

So are suggesting it would sell a bigger gate or get more PPVs than AJs fights?

It only happens in the UK for the finances to work. It does not generate anywhere near enough money for the fight to work in the US. For me this is a chess match to get Wilder and AJ on ESPN if all of there possible mandatories are locked into exclusive deals the fights have to go on ESPN

In the UK at 10pm at Wembley/o2/other stadium, yeah it does extremely well. Sells out, 1million UK PPV buys.

In Vegas/LA/NY/Texas, don’t think it sells a 15/20k arena, early hours of the morning for UK fans, not sure how many US PPV buys it does.

Just to add some context here AJ v Takam did more than Fury v Klitschko.

If it's at a reasonable hour where the Brits can watch it, otherwise not so much.
The US numbers have been pretty damn low the last decade, certainly without an American or Mexican in the mix.
