Well I posted many times on here that it was50-50 and I was struggling to split them, how little did I know how right I was ! 33-1 at the bookies for the draw , but who backs that ? The bookies and promotors are the winners and Joe Public the losers again. Fury clearly won and words fail me for the ammount of respect I have for him. Wilder too played his part. Most pre fight analysis was right, boxer v puncher etc but what a fight it was. The judging remains antiquated , I remember the Lewis Holyfield fight 1999, where the female judge who was in Don Kings pocket gave Lewis' best round to Evander ! 19 years later we have a similar farce. Surely by now a system where the judges enter their score in a computer and the scores displayed immediately before the next round starts. It's so simple and would end the nonsense at a stroke.

Absolutely but the brown paper bag brigade would still follow instructions.

    Money talks and it sucks.

At least you wouldn't have to wait until the end when the damage is done. I think if a judge had to declare their hand at the end of each round they would be more likely to get it right with the scutiny that would go with such a system.

The scoring system in boxing is so inaccurate and unfair, but they just won't change it because that would give the orgs and commisions less control over the outcome.
It feeds the issue boxing has, and that's corruption and favoritism. It's easy to score a round that the one you want to win for him, by just looking for one or two criteria that suits the guy in that round. And then even when everyone else saw it differently you can still use that as an excuse.
95% of the controversial decisions are in favor of the home/featured fighter. So the incompetence card can be thrown right out of the window. it's about controlling who wins.

I've been saying the exact same thing, about time we had more transparency around scoring it is holding the sport back. While we're at it get rid of the governing bodies and create one new, reputable body.

The issue is that there is plenty of time for post fight scrutiny but nothing is done at all and the judges know it. Zero accountability.

They would not care about the feelings of the crowd - they follow the instructions in the bag with the money.
