After the masterclass heavyweight bout that occurred last weekend, it's difficult to imagine the Fury Wilder fight being anywhere near the showcase of boxing skills we got from Usyk and Joshua. Usyk vs Joshua had next to no clinching and was an exciting tactical battle on the DAZN. Fury Wilder doesn't feel like it needs to happen and the 2nd fight was very dirty, which does not interest me. I would not expect to get my money's worth on a $80 ppv price or $30 for a movie theater ticket. Despite being a huge fan/advocate of Marquis of Queensbury rule boxing, this fight does not have enough appeal to warrant my money and time. The fight last weekend was refreshing in it's lack of dirty tactics and showcase of skill and I'm not expecting that from the fight on October 9th. Anyone else simply not interested in Fury Wilder III, to the point of being OK with watching highlights the following Sunday?
Although I agree there was no need for a third fight, I'm very much looking forward to it. And for once, we have a PPV worth the money, with an excellent undercard: two evenly-matched heavyweight fights! Also on the card are two up-and-coming heavyweights in with decent journeymen.
Its not a terrible fight by any means but if definitely feels like everyone will be relieved to see the end of the trilogy rather than be hungry for more
Maybe switch to watching tennis or golf. If you couldn't appreciate that performance, your credentials as a boxing enthusiast are suspect.
I don't begrudge anyone for not wanting to pay $80, but it's a fantastic undercard even if the main event is iffy.
Not as excited for it as I was for the rematch, but it’s still a good matchup between two of the best heavyweights around. And for once the undercard is actually good
Maybe you should watch the first fight? Deontay knocked him down for the 10 count in that one, and the ref continued on.
first off its not an actual 10 count its a 10 count at the refs discretion to see if the fighter is ok, secondly if the count was faster how do you know he wouldnt have just gotten up faster? I love the people who say if it was faster Wilder would have won because he was listening to the count and would have just gotten up faster.
It's a good undercard, and the pagentry and fireworks in the ring walk ups should be worth the money. Just the anticipation of the costume WIlder will wear is enough for me, plus Fury coming in on a chariot or a helicopter.
I can’t wait to see wilder get ktfo , I hope Fury is angry , physically and mentally fit to destroy that idiot again. Costume, gloves, trainer, spiked water, corrupt ref and all other excuses will sound even funnier if Fury smashes him again.
Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering Fury isn't angry, anger does nothing for you in the ring. Fury is focused and unrelenting.
