And he'll bleat on about AJ being a corporate business man and how he's a real fighting man and how fighting is bred into them from when they were born and they'll fight for free and donate their purse to charity blah blah blah.

    Fury is a confused individual.

He loves money just as much as the next man but he doesn't want to show everyone how much he loves money.

So he'll bore everyone with how he's a real fighting man etc etc but he's not stupid. He knows to make money, he needs to play the game and toe the party line regarding certain topics. So he ends up making himself look silly with previous statements.

He should either shut up and stop making out he doesn't love money or he should stop spreading himself thin by doing talkshows, guest appearances, book signings etc and just stay out of the limelight as much as possible. Problem is, he can't do that. Because he loves money far too much.

Strip him for faking a covid test then which is what should have happened anyway.

I think we all need to just give this a week or two here.

I share the scepticism about the last postponement - the lack of promotion from ESPN/Top Rank, no BT Sport Box Office announcement, scheduling during the Olympics felt super weird.

The daughter being born had already made news. I don't find it surprising at all that they should thank the hospital for supporting her. Tyson and John posted quite a nice video that they're auctioning WBC belts to support Alder Hey hospital - a good use of publicity IMHO.

If it is postponed again, the question is when is it postponed to. Only then should the follow-up questions regarding the WBC title be asked. Until then, all this conjecture is based on a comment from John who, as this forum knows, isn't the most consistent with is comments.

I think we should wait for something more than a comment from John before deciding to strip his belt.

It's been 18 months since the last fight, he's had hold of a belt for 18 months without fighting and faked having Corona to push a date back, I don't think he's that keen on fighting, I'm pretty sure he's the only two time World Champion to as of yet never defend a belt.

Let him have time with his daughter.

In the mean time make Wilder vs Whyte for the WBC title.

When Fury is ready he’s mandated against the winner.

Exactly. If he’s not fighting In October, he needs to withdraw now and stop messing people around. This stuff has major repercussions in so many areas.

Make him champion in recess so we can see Wilder vs Whyte. I don't like Whyte but facts are there are too many variables that delay or stop fights. The belt organisations need to do more to stop the bottle necking on the calendar/careers that happens because of situations like this. For once the current situation is understandable with Fury but it's no surprise that boxing fans are utterly sick of him. There's always a feeling that unless he's actually done the ring walk you just feel that the fights just won't happen.

There's always something with Fury.. I don't like this messing people about that he seems to do an awful lot.

There's a lot of money and stakeholders involved in all of this.

    Be a man ffs

That's promising. I was worried this fight might not go ahead in October. Still 7 weeks to go but that's about as reassuring as things can be at this stage.

The writing is on the wall. This fight is not happening on October 9th. I called it that the fight on July 24th wasn't happening and I'm calling the same for this one. Fury will come up with something to push it back or he will retire, claiming family issues. 7 weeks to train is enough for someone who is in shape most of the time. But Fury is not that guy. He parties, celebrates and runs his mouth in between fights which is why he was getting smashed by sparring partners a month ago. 0 title defenses, no fights in two years, steroids conviction and you guys still think he is the best heavyweight out there. He's not. He's a con man and a fraud. The only thing I'm interested in now is whether the WBC strips him and also if the under card does on, because it was a good one.

The lineal heavyweight champion of the world, the undefeated heavyweight champion of the world, the mental health champion of the universe, came out the balls of Shytehouse Big Joan Fury, beat two long reigning world heavyweight champions away from home, done a number on Pudding Chisora TWICE - the people's champion.

Newborn child is ill mate - take a break from the hatred.

Tyson Fury has always delivered in the ring.

Should he never box again - what a legacy.

Nobody should ever listen to a word from Fury’s mouth. There may be 7 weeks until the fight but you’d be a fool if you thought he hasn’t been training up until now. Even when his baby was in hospital he was training with David Price, doing runs round Liverpool and whatever else. You’ve even just said he was sparring a month ago! He’s been in camp longer than 7 weeks, these next 6/7 weeks are just going to intensify the training you’d imagine.
