The other punches were thrown at puddings - this punch hit a fighter very hard to hit.

Sure, but I don't know why people pretend Fury was felled by a massive Wilder punch.
Fury was elusive but got put down twice on his back.

The first knockdown he was barely hit. The second knockdown always looks choreographed to me. I'm not saying it is, but it always looks it to me. The punches don't look very hard.

I thought he was out, though.

I couldn't believe Fury, who has a massive nogging on his neck, would get flattened so easily.
I thought it was a flash KD.

I could believe it, because Fury has been down by weaker punches when he was much more active. But still, in the playbacks, people always act as if that straight right and left hook were huge punches. I can never figure that out. They looked soft and it looked choreographed as if Fury knew his moves ahead of time.

In his defense his body went through an enormous transformation leading up to that fight. He came in a bit light if my memory serves me right? Must've played a part surely?

I've had exactly the same reaction/suspicion to that exchange ever since it happened. In part because it felt so tailor made to grab the attention of the most notoriously attention deficit generation in history. If one were to sketch out how to stretch out the value and interest in the two men over a sustained period of time, this could've been it. Both walk away with a narrative to please their fanbase. Both talking up the unfair judging/refereeing that cheated them of the rightful win. Both maintaining the unbeaten record for future marketing purposes.

Of course I know most will dismiss any such suggestion outright and with no proof that's fair enough. It's difficult at the best of times to know where to draw the line in pro boxing. At what point is extreme cynicism outright paranoia? We know that organised crime was involved maybe from the earliest days. We know wherever there's vast sums to be made corruption is likely to follow. Would the two organisations heading these two fighters have had an interest in claiming a big share of the attention that follows the glamour division of the sport? Emphatically yes, but it doesn't really tell us anything.

Anyway, just wanted to share that you're not the only one who has had that response to that exchange.

Are we saying Tyson Fury is the future new 'Undertaker' in WWE?

I sometimes get the feeling that the line between pro boxing and pro wrestling isn't as big as we'd like to think...

However, I have to apologise for taking this off topic. Does anyone still think that this fight isn't going ahead?

Fury is so unreliable at times that we can only confirm the fight is on when he enters the arena on fight night.

I think it is. Fury is in camp now - but not sure whether in the UK or US.

He will know that due to timing he needs to take this opportunity to fight. He's obviously a bit of a nut case but he understands boxing.

That's good. I did wonder whether "going into camp" but staying in the UK was tokenism.

I doubt he'd have left his family again unless he was serious, especially after the issues with his new baby.

If you watch the second fight, Wilder i think in the 6th tried the exact combination and he missed wildly, might have even been the 7th.
