No, he won't. Usyk is the most skilled fighter north of 175 (though I could see a young Opetaia beating an old Usyk) What Fury might show Usyk meanwhile is weight and dimensions. No heavyweight has truly imposed themselves onto him yet. If Fury comes in serious, this will be The Empire Strikes Back So in reality, if we actually get a serious and professional Fury, this will be about whether Usyk can overcome the size gap with skill. This isn't Spence-Crawford or 99% of Canelo's fights, this is Hagler-Duran or Maxim-Robinson: raw pound-for-pound greatness in the making
Fury has to do these things against Usyk: Don't let him dictate the the pace of the fight. Don't let him get his lead foot on the outside. Throw his right hand often. Attack the body.
Fury has never fought a fighhter as skilled as Usyk but Usyk is too small and looked far better at cruiser.
Usyk will get shell shocked This ain't Dereck Chisora This ain't Anthony Joshua This ain't Daniel Dubious Usyk's only saving grace is Fury is not a puncher.... But he hits hard enough to make Usyk reel and when Usyk reels he will be ineffective. First job for Fury is to slow Usyk down intelligently early doors whilst Usyk is at his most agile.
Fury struggled with Francis because he couldn't push him around, lean, maul him like he could do with Wilder to sap him and soften him up. He might have a chance with Usyk. I think this fight is won by the legs. Fury is noticeable less mobile than he was and walking forward in straight lines is going to see him get beat by a guy who can move in and our and around like few others. If Fury can't move well then Usyk is a heavy favorite he can is able to maul and pin down Usyk then he's in charge. They've both shown weaknesses in previous fights.
The first thing Fury needs to do is get in the ****ing Gym and get his arse off holiday, pictures of him holidaying in Saudi with what, about 9wks to go...
Hope he’s enjoying his hols, deserves them, what with his busy ring schedule this year. Poor chap was exhausted after his 30 minutes with a novice, including having to hoist himself from the canvas. No hurry to get back to the gym treadmill. He’ll probably now, have a weekend at nearby Blackpool Illuminations to celebrate Xmas, before buckling down to face whom he inaccurately describes a 6’3” “midget!”
I will not do it since when i hurt him i do not want to get the s**tstorm on this forum for ruining the fight against fury ;-)
Like Haney showed Loma ''levels,'' the only levels Belly can show Usyk to even make it a competitive fight is levels of an obscene size advantage and PED levels. The only reason why the fight was remotely competitive was because Loma was fighting an opponent who weighed four divisions more than him and had massive reach advantage on him too. Had they been even remotely close to the same size Loma would've knocked his ass out early 10 x out of 10 and that's not even an exaggeration. The exact same applies with Usyk vs Belly albeit to be fair to the later, unlike Haney, he has actually fought a few opponents his size. Usyk is levels above Belly in everything sans size which he's levels bellow A 220lb Usyk has a better chin than a 250-280lb Belly and I don't mean better P4P either. Let that sink in If all the pupils were way smarter and more knowledgeable than all the teachers there would be no point sending the pupils to school to learn. Usyk is the teacher, Belly is the pupil in every single subject and every single lesson
I think the plan was that he'd hit him with a couple of right hands and he'd fall over which he did but the latter didn't happen and was never gonna happen looking at the bloke. Usyk gets knocked out in rounds five to six.
Apologies, the last bit of the second paragraph were my words. He said he thought it was a very hard fight and he doesn't see how Usyk can win but I think if Fury shows up like last time, Usyk dominates.
