Fury would be insane to retire after this next fight.

Yes. It is an old tactic and works quite well

Fury is done physically. He had a lot of minor injuries in the last few years and it got worse before the third Wilder fight. He basically fought injured. He's smart. He knows he has maybe 1 or 2 good and hard camps & fights left.

He'll retire after the Whyte fight albeit i can see the Usyk fight happen but that's about it. It's probably a bit of marketing to sell the Whyte fight but i really believe that we won't see a lot of Fury fights in the future. As i said...Whyte + Usyk that is.

Agreed. I can't see him retiring when he could fight AJ, Usyk, Joyce and maybe Chisora as a last Hoorah. That would only put him around 35/36 years old with alot more money and credibility to his name.

Fighting men don't walk away with unfinished business and let lesser lights collect the spoils. That said if Whyte gives him an up and down life and death challenge I get it.

AJ is potentially a busted flush. He would be a named opponent for Fury but one that had a number ***'s against his name. Someone broke down how badley AJ's list of wins had ages the other day and it's really poor. IF Fury beat's AJ does it add much to his legacy? Maybe a little but it's not the huge fight it was. Unless AJ beats Usyk handily.

Loose again to Usyk and he's a little in the wilderness is AJ.

Fury Vs Usyk does huge numbers. A win for Fury would see wins over the likes of:

Chisora (undefeated when Fury faced him, been around for years and gives everyone work)
Wlad (long reigning champ coming off another win)
Wilder (technically poor but huge punching, undefeated champ)
Whyte (a fun up and down banger who deserves a shot)
Usyk (brilliant fighter at cruiser and unified at Heavy)

Undefeated and Undisputed in 33 fights ish? That's good going especially with his inactivity and some low tier fighters thrown in there during the comeback.

Retirement talk is just that someone write some coloum inches and Fury's name is out there again. Might help sell this fight a little if one or two think it might be the last time to see him fight etc.

    Needs AJ and Usyk first.
