I think vitali turns it rough and takes Fury out his game an it’s a battle. Bits tougher an wont be out psyched. Not only did vit not lose fights he very rarely lost rounds

Fury makes Vitali look silly. Most think Fury beats Joshua who is more complete boxer than Vitali - more dimensions , better adaptability , good combinations up close.

Vitali doesn't fight aggressive against Fury because he has no skills on the inside. He boxes from mid-rage like he always does.

Fury barely beat Wlad and you think he "washed" him.

Vitali is incredibly overrated. I've always ranked Wlad over him both in resume and H2H ability. Fury would jab his head off and make him swing at air all night.

Now Fury vs a prime Wlad is a much more interesting fight.

Just for the record, how would Wallin have done against Vitali?

Vitali is an extra-crappy matchup for Fury because unlike Wlad, he wasn't scared of taking shots and all of Fury's mindgames would just **** him off. Vits was a volume puncher and Fury would have to actually fight to win, instead of throwing 5 potshots and 42345082 feints every round.

    Bull****:
    Tony Thompson 6'5, Pulev 6'4.5, Wach 6'7.5, Sanders 6'4, Wolfgramm 6'4.5, Pianeta 6'5, Ray Austin 6'6, Williamson 6'4, McCline 6'6, Jefferson 6'6, Joshua 6'6, Fury 6'9
Hardly a few. That whole size thing is a bullsh!t argument.

There is not a man born from his mother that could beat Tyson Fury...

Other way round IMO. Vitali wouldn't have the size or reach advantage to impose his will on Fury and will need to rely on feints himself to close Fury down and land on him. That puts him at a disadvantage.

A feint is dangerous because until it's actually thrown you don't know if it's the start of an attack or not, and not even Vitali would want to take a free punch to the face. He'll definitely be reacting to them, because the moment he doesn't could be the moment Fury clocks him, and despite Fury's rep as a pitty pat puncher he can and does do damage with his shots.

There seems to be a weird narrative surrounding Vitali that he was this unstoppable terminator that just walked you down and blasted you out. He clearly wasn't. Here's him against Sanders. Notice how much he hangs back and throws half jabs to draw Sanders's fire, and reacts to Sanders's own feints. He'll be doing the same against Fury because these habits are ingrained and form part of your basic response pattern in any fight.

Wallin might be better than most people thought initially , Fury included. How does Vitali do against him with a huge deteriorating cut from round 4..

How does anyone do with a huge deteriorating cut they sustained from early doors? It kind of throws all your plans out the window.

To be honest though I thought the Fury Wallin fight should have been stopped. Unofficially I count that as a loss for Fury, same as the first McDoughnut fight.

Look how Fury done with a cut that would have ended the fight if it got worse.. He changed tactics , switched from the back foot to front aggressor and got in close to Wallin so he couldn't land any more shots to his cut.
He had to protect the cut and box to win at the same time , which he did. Could Vitali have done the same? Not imo.
Vitali wasn't as adaptable as Fury. . Fury would read him like a book and outbox him comfortably

Providing the ref didn't step in I think Vitali would have switched it up and tried to gun for the KO. Fury was extremely lucky the ref let him carry on with the cut as it was, and I think in a situation like that any historically decent HW could have made it to the final bell and won a decision provided they dug deep, Vitali included.

    Agreed on the last line.
