Fury would still beat prime Muhammad Ali and Lennox Lewis, Usyk is just the goat

I think it’s a very important point to remember that he only reigned king for 3 fights.
    3 fights!

after all the talk after all these years.
3 fights walking in as the king, and it’s over.

Even then, the biggest one of them, a judge had to force him in there.

I know this may sound off but it’s stereotypical of a gypsy (rightly or wrongly) to talk his way into atg status than actually do the work to get there. Like the guys who will tarmac your drive for a few quid, they will convince you they are legit until it starts falling apart, and they’re gone.

Fury probably had the ability to be up there but he's a bit over the hill now. The 3 years out, hard abuse of his body and wars have put him past his best. He probably could have achieved a lot more but he definitely achieved a lot more than most expected him to early in his career.

He's no where near Lewis ATG status, Usyk isn't either maybe if he beats Zhang, Bakole, Parker and Kabayel then he's a solid top 10 but still not guaranteed the GOAT spot. Ali was an Olympic goal medalist and his resume is phenomenal.

Lewis was also an Olympic Gold medalist (that adds a lot to legacy for me) his resume Vitali, Holyfield, Mercer, Golota, Ruddock, Briggs, McCall, Morrison, Tua, Tucker, Mason, Bruno, Akinwande, Rahman even Mavrovic was a solid opponent.

I haven't even included the shell of Tyson there and that's 15 solid world class scalps. Fair enough he got stopped twice, but he avenged both savagely. I could include a few more solid wins and bolster that up to 25+ top 10-15 ranked at the time heavyweight wins but I'm just sticking with elite ones.

Fury has 3-4 wins at that level a couple more at top 15 level and now 2 defeats. Usyk has 5 wins at that level 0 defeats and maybe you could boost it up to 6 or 7 with cruiserweight but that shouldn't really count on your heavyweight resume.

I would give Usyk a good chance vs Lewis H2H mainly because Lewis only ever fought 1 southpaw journeyman in his whole pro career but in terms of ATG rank Lewis is still miles ahead and he'd put this version of Fury away in 2 or 3 rounds in his prime.

How many threads have you created now promoting Usyk beating everyone who ever lived?

No version of Fury beats prime Lennox Lewis.

Ali would land so many on Fury’s fat guts that he’d need all his internal organs replaced afterwards.

of course Fury had to fight a perfect fight to pull it off. He was in there with Wlad. Screw up against Wlad and the people in the back row will be catching your head when he decapitates you.

that specific comment by Fury doesn’t mean anything. It’s just a recognition of his dangerous Wlad was.

I think Ali vs Fury would be like 7-5 Ali on the cards. Fury's is in many ways like a bigger Ali and is very awkward.

If Uysk beats all those guys he would definitely be up there at least in a convo not necessarily saying better with Lennox considering what he has achieved already at heavyweight even if it's a small number of fights.

It pretty much means Fury had to be as good as he could be, and make few to no mistakes... And realistically, he was.

To me, the fact Wlad desperately wanted the rematch says Wlad believed he could've been quite a bit better - I don't know whether Fury believed Wlad could/would come back better or whether he thought he might not be able to avoid the mistakes again... But Fury avoiding the rematch raises legitimate doubts over his ability to do it again, I would say?

The thing is, the abuse is self inflicted AND the wars were self-inflicted... If he'd turned up fit for Wilder #1 and #3 he'd have taken much less punishment. If he'd turned up fit for Ngannou he probably wouldn't have been KD'd.

Doubt Fury beats either, also jury is out on Usyk being the GOAT, but he makes a good case for himself

As much as I love Usyk, he may be the GOAT pound for pound but not yet at heavyweight. Beating Joshua and Fury twice and doing a job on Dubois makes him todays best heavyweight. If he's fighting a prime Lennox Lewis, Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, Holmes or Foreman it's a whole different kettle of fish.

Lewis would slap Fury around. All Wilder has is a big right hand and he put Fury on the floor four times. Imagine another big man like Lewis who not only has huge power as well, but also a complete skill set and arsenal. He’d be landing on Fury at will. Also Ali, come on. Usyk beat Fury with footwork, endurance, speed, and workrate. All areas that Ali was exceptional at. How exactly does Fury just magically win these matchups?
