think its ok that he can switch to souhtpaw, dont think he can bea full-time lefty though, its too late in his career to convert, but it may be useful to switch in certain fights at times

Even though Rogan's not anything to rave about, the fact Tyson can bang with both hands and once he settled actually looked pretty decent in southpaw style and picked some lovely shots goes to show how talented the kid is. It's that bloody mentality of his!. This lad didn't really have a extensive AM record nor has he had a soft start to Pro career.

    He's been great value.

i agree mand', i liked the fact he could do it, just wouldnt want to see it full time, id prefer a 6'9" 17/18st bloke to be banging people out with his right hand first, if he worked on his fundamental technique with both hands a bit more this could be a real weapon, as it is it may just keep Wlad or Vitali off him for a round or two as they work it out

Last night Fury was alot more conservative with his shots, picking them more, hardly wasting any!

Totally agree mate, I wasn't happy when he came out as a lefty was moaning but as fight grew on started to see what he was doing and i picked 5 and he finished it nicely.

The kids not even driving them punches at times and he's hurting people. Good fighter the kid.

thats what I mean, hes getting a fair few stoppages, but h's not even utilising his size and power, if he actually got decent punch form he'd be a devastating puncher IMO, I still rate him and still think Fury Price is 50/50, Fury has decent hand speed, goes to the body well, is now a switch-hitter :lol and has a decent jab when he gets it going and has heart and an engine, a few of those qualities haven't been seen in Price yet because we just haven't seen enough of him

Good post, i'm not going off Price beating 3 fighters that Fury would of or has beaten. Someone will test Price soon and then we'll see what he's made of. So far he's had things his own way and Price likes to pull out of fights a fair bit. Bit to much IMO, I think if you can rough him up and take him into later part of a fight he could well lose form and lose the fight!.

saying that i was disappointed Fury ducked the fight, and Ch5 pissed me off with their "Fury's had to give up his British and Commonwealth titles to pursue his world title dream..." bollocks, and when mentioning possible opponents never mentioning Price, I expected that of Pougatch, but Bernstein?! surely he can say what he wants and they'd just be happy he was there

I've seen Tyson switch stance before against Nascimento & Chisora. Initially I thought it was a strange tactic to use, or maybe Tyson had an injury but it was effective.

Like 'Mand said perhaps Tyson needs to concentrate more as a SP, he was far more defensively responsible last night than he normally is. He had a gameplan & stuck to it which is promising for the future.

He still needs a lot of refinement, especially in his punching technique but Tyson showed us something new last night, not only was he in good shape but he was controlled & patient.

ye before its been quite effective in parts, but hes a natural righty so that should be his main stance imo

He tied up good as well which he lacked and let people inside.

I agree. Boxing is hard enough using one stance, I'm not a fan of switch-hitting.

He looks more natural as an orthodox fighter & his jab last night wasnt very effective.

    How so?

He barely landed one for the 1st 2 rounds. When he did get it going it was more of a flickering, almost back-of-the-hand shot than a solid, head-snapping punch.

I think his left-jab from an orthodox stance is a much better weapon.
