Just watched a few of Cunningham's fights, and man in the first Adamek fight he hit Adamek with some vicious shots, especially in the 4th, yet Adamek took it in stride.

Also Adamek hurt Steve any time he hit him flush, yet Fury was mostly ineffective before that elbow smash + uppercut combo

Doesnt look good for Fury going further, if Adamek was kd by old man Vitaly's jab, wtf would Fury have to offer?

 

I sort of disagree with you for once Zak. I will say that Fury is chinny, but I don't think his chin is pure glass. I think that was more of his arrogance/and showboating than his chin. His chin is certainly far from iron, but I think it's good enough that if Fury boxes and doesn't brawl that his chin won't be at risk and that he will be able to take the odd glancing shot.

 

Either way. His chin is far from being as bad as Mitchells or Prices.

 

Then how do you explain a chinny Adamek taking the same kind of clean shots from Cunningham without going down?

In boxing you WILL get hit clean every now and then, some people can take it, some can't. Just the way it is

Fury's chin is fine.

Hopefully he will fight Arreola next and prove to everyone that his chin is durable.

 

It's more so an issue of composure and how a fighter deals mentally when hurt. Fury fought a idiotic fight and payed for it when he made mistakes, to suggest a fighter has a glass jaw just because they get knocked down from a shot is ludicrous and is a view from those who have probably never boxed in a ring before.
