Very, very cool to hear what goes on first hand in the camp of somebody like Wlad. Thanks for sharing. I suspect that any difference in appearance is due to muscle tone picking up and fat level dropping ...

I read awhile ago that Klitschkos are only one of the few HWs to GAIN weight during training camp, not lose.

Staying in shape all year around pays off.

Anyone on testo and HGH who gains an abysmal 7lbs (3% of bodyweight, at Wlad's weight) in 10 weeks has no idea what they're doing. That's a mere 0.3% of bodyweight gain per week! :rofl

Short term gains are easy, so for somebidy like the champ, he just stays trim and eats well and it's east to put on a few pounds in camp. It goes on easy at first in those conditions.

If he were a bodybuilder, training fulltime toward whatever the **** bodybuilders train for (gold wax maybe) he'd not consistiently make those gains due to the law of diminishing returns as there's less body fat left to convert.

    It's not rocket science.

Talk to any bodybuilder who goes on a 4 week vacation with no training whatsoever. They'd lost 10-15lbs like that as muscle is catabolized. After going back to the gym 5 times a week its not uncommon to see 10 - 15lbs gains (i.e. what has been lost during vacation) within 4 weeks, without steroids. Its called muscle memory.

Contrary to popular belief highly-trained athletes tend to LOSE weight when out of training, not gain. Muscle mass is shed almost instantly when off training as its highly inefficient for the body's energy balance.

You have no idea what your talking about

With muscle memory, and proper diet and workout, you can easily regain a pound of muscle a week. Now if Wlad kept gaining muscle even when he was at his peak, then that would be cause for concern, but otherwise it really isn't that unheard of

all I can say about more fights is what you guys already know, he signed a new 5 fight deal with RTL. I cant say more then that. I know the team wants him to break the record and get the WBC belt.:good

he doesnt lift really really heavy anymore at camp. We dont want injuries. he does heavier weight in his pre camp workouts

I have seen him bench 355lbs 3 times. Not sure what his max is. When we start camp and I lift with him on bench, we start 135lbs 20 reps, 185lbs 20 reps, then 225lbs 20 reps (i usually **** out at 16-17 reps @ 225) then reverse it. twice a week first 2 weeks... then no more heavy lifting. some lifting, but lighter so not to bulky

6 lbs of muscle in 8 weeks with 2 a day workouts 6 days a week is not much at all. PLUS I said we are NOT cutting weight at the same time. I said he comes in at 238ish and fights at 241-245..... its not that much like you are trying to make it out to be:-:)patsch

Chef, what would it take for you to get Tyson Fury to look just like Wlad Klitschko?

I am tired off all these haters talkin about Fury being fat. I am sorry haters I didnt realize that bodybuilding was such as an important part of boxing and fighting. Dumb son of a ***** haters

Tyson will NEVER look like Wlad just because Wlad has better muscle insertions, better bone structure, and is naturally small around the waist, and broad around the shoulders.

Tyson can still get in better shape aesthetically pleasing, but he'll always have wide hip bones. Best thing for him to do is lean bulk, get some lean muscle mass, and then cut. If he goes really hard on military presses and other shoulder building exercises, as well as going heavy on deadlifts and other back exercises, his hips wouldn't be as noticeable

355 for 3 puts him at about a 390 pound bench. Agree that 'maxing' out for a boxer is asking for problems/injuries. Best to use weights to condition then taper off to the more Boxing type stuff.

Tyson will never look like wlad. different body style and genetics. But he needs to reduce the sugar, fat and BAD carbs from the diet. Its very hard to write it all down here, but I could help him IF he fully followed the plan.

You can have the best nutrition plan just like a flight plan, but if you dont follow it, its just a waste of time
