Fury becoming the betting underdog is interesting here. He actually has a much better chance at lower weight.

How is your list of Usyk excuses coming along?

Walking down would be his best option especially when watching his Cunningham fight.

Yeh but Fury was lighter then and quicker, at 250-260lbs is perfect. And also Uysk is too clever to be walked down like that. Fury might want to do it later on, once hes established the jab and not took much punishment. I think hes facing a much better boxer in Uysk then Wilder and Cunningham.

If Fury comes in too light - he loses one of his possible advantages. He threw everything at Wallin and couldn't stop him and was described as being weak as a kitten.
Hopefully, this is dropping in weight to then a careful to build back up to a mobile and strong frame.
He isn't going to out manoeuvre or outspeed Usyk. He's going to have to fight tall, be big strong, accurate and spiteful and nulify the shorter man on the inside.

I disagree. AJ tried walking Usyk down and look what happened there.

Fury staying at range using feints is his best chance. If he comes in heavy he's stuffed.

He is not quicker and coordinated than Usyk that sticking and moving did not work on Cunningham it won't work on Usyk his no plodder.

I think Fury coming in lighter will be good for him. He can keep the fight on the outside easier and use his jab and reach, he can keep the fight in his range better.

It’s amazing how some people are so positively reactive to Fury’s mere talk as opposed to what he actually does (or doesn’t do) in the ring.

IF he is 258 lb now, I doubt he was on target for that weight for the original fight date.

Even if the postponement wasn’t contrived you could at least conclude that it was quite welcomed by Fury.

Light isn’t necessarily right either - particularly for an older fighter who has gained some extra natural pounds which aren’t actually so detrimental in all context.

Even if a fighter still holds 20-30 lbs over his opponent, that advantage might be negated by the degree of how much said fighter comes in “underweight” relative to his own best weight.

On the whole, it may severely weaken the weight drained fighter and cause him to be that much less resilient.

Didn't say Fury needed to walk him down. If anything I said he needs to keep Usyk at range where feints have dropped off in recent fights could be useful, if Usyk can raid inside and out it will be a one-sided fight. If Fury controls the distance and nullify the shorter man inside the pendulum moves hugely in his favour.
You're correct too heavy is also a problem around Wilder 2 would probably be his best weight in my opinion. Mobile enough and strong enough. Fury looks thin almost gaunt he's a giant of a man he needs some timber on the frame.

Fury... won't... fight... Usyk... on May 18th...

He will invent another injury and instead fight AJ in September as a champion and will make lots of money.

Yeh but Uysk isnt one to move back either. He will only move back alot if hes getting bullrushed ie Chisora. Wilder and Cunningham were pushed back, they havent got the footwork or bodymovement to remain in the centre of the ring putting on educated pressure, or pushing forward. Fury nullified that, with his own footwork and jab. I expect a bit of a chess match for the 1st half of the fight, but i see both getting hurt and it getting scrappy, turning into a war.
