Well tbf fury has a history of not following corner instructions and blowing hot and cold.
I think the buck stops with him.

Uncle peter seemed to be able to make him fight to a plan, but there was fights where he came in very flat.
fury does need a trainer that will make him listen IMO. Peter could do that.

But its he's character, he's up one minute, down the other. He has always had flat performances where he just does enough to win and other fights where he looks unreal.

The cut was a bug factor, we also don't really know Otto wallins level tbh, but he can definetly hang at world level. He's dad dead recently too, you often see incredible performances from fights who have recently lost someone close to them.

But i think this is poor form by John fury, the buck stops with Tyson, he picked the team after all

No offence to Ben Davidson but hes not experienced enough at this level, may well be in the future but not yet.

Peter got the best out of Tyson, bury the hstchet forget all the silly business and bring back peter.

He looked in shape. Had that bounce. Me thinks All -in WallIn had something to do with how Fury looked. Fury looked like he was in a fight- with ALL in -Wallin!

Like i said in the main topic, fury looked off last night before the cut, he had slower reflexes last night.

All that pre fight dancing and stupid entrance probably got Fury what he deserved. Wasn't focused and probably didn't take his opponent seriously

Usual story, the boxer fares badly and the team get the flack.
I've never understood that, the team are always OK when the fighters winning but they never get as much credit as the man doing the actual fighting, which is how it should be, but one bad performance and the blames thrown on to them!.
FURY a the man in the ring, the buck stops with him imo.

He looked flat as hell I agree, didn't look like he was fit or perhaps back on the yayo or drinking the night before? Silly business if he is. Davison needs to sort his disciplinary issues out. Peter knew how to do that anyhow.

Styles make fights, Wallin is a lefty, has a good chin and is a really durable guy.
You can't just walk through everyone you fight.

If he really had 4 pints the night before Wilder, imagine his night before and hand-picked no-name. I think he's on the sauce, he looked better last year honestly.

Yep, needs to stay focused instead of worrying about trying to make new fans and looking ahead to bigger fights. He dodged a bullet in this fight, hopefully it's the wake up call he needs.

John says he looks weight drained and that he looks like he’s left it all in the gym well I’m not suprised.

He’s lost 10 stone last what year and a half has basically been one long training camp he’s had 5 fights in that time and gone through grulling camps he’s also got problems with mental illness I’m not suprised he’s burnt out.

Fury looked like he did vs Cunningham, slow and sloppy and overly reliant on size to bully his smaller, quicker opponent. I'm glad he had to fight to get the win last night after that atrocious cherry pick (and that's no assessment of Wallin as a fighter, just that he was seen as another soft touch to bowl over) and I hope it lights a fire under his arse to actually take fights seriously in future. His timing and distancing were all off, and Wallin actually made him look like the less talented fighter in there.

I joked that Wallin would trouble Fury with his jab and superior boxing abilities and that Fury would have to pull it out of the bag to win, but I didn't actually think I'd be proved right. Props to Wallin for making it a fight, and I hope he gets some more opportunities off the back of this.

Fury hired a kid to train him so he could be boss and do what he likes in and out of the ring.
