Fury was wide open and square on and got hit by a full-bodied shot from Cunningham, a shot he failed to see coming. Fury might have a weak chin but that particular knockdown doesn't prove anything except it is stupid to stand wide open and allow any 210 pound man land his full weighted blow in your face. It's irrelevant whether Cunningham is a "puncher". Any fit 210 man stepping in with his full weight behind an overhand right can put a bigger man down.
Respect to an exalted chin checker, but getting knocked down is not the same as getting knocked out. Fury got up from all his knockdowns clear-eyed and ready to go. No holding on, no biding time. If anything he had a balance and momentum issue, which is understandable given his size, which has at times been top heavy. He appears to have resolved those problems. His top half is now lean and balanced with a set of tree trunks at the bottom. He's really put the leg work in, literally - his thighs are like Roman pillars. Fury is going to trash Wlad and a lot of people are going to have to chew down on some bitter blackbird. Wlad is over the hill, too slipped in athleticism and too cautious to give Fury any trouble. Fury will win with cleaner outside work, superior inside game and shots straight down the pipe. Fury KO win, round 10.
Exactly, Fury was utterly reckless in the first few rounds with Cunningham. He gave him no respect whatsoever. He didn't have his trainer in his corner for guidance and he was, misguidedly, trying to make a huge impression on his US debut. As it turns out, he still made that massive impression, because after Wlad he's the most spoken about heavyweight in spite of a relatively weak resume. After Saturday, he will be the most spoken about boxer in the game. We can then look forward to some quality match-ups on the Brit / World scene.
Did he also say Fury could beat Wlad in any part of it? Cuz those two are completely different things.
When you hit the deck against a light-hitting fighter, I don't care what excuses people make for it, it indicates that the fighter in question doesn't have the sturdiest set of whiskers. Fury will need a sturdy set of whiskers to survive Klitschko's bombs. He doesn't, and he won't.:-(
Anything could happen.could be a real war both guys going down?or a very boring points win probably for Vlad .fury might be D\S for some crazy stuff .Vlad might grow old overnight been at it a long time made his money maybe he has had his fill.whatever happens I hope it's a good fight the HW s need that .
Very few men survive "Klitschko's bombs" so what you are saying is accurate but I don't think it's the main issue. The main issue is whether Fury has improved his defence enough to avoid taking bombs. Haye was decked/stopped by relatively light-hitting fighters and managed to go the distance with Wlad.
Anything is possible in boxing, but what I am saying is that if you stack up Fury's record, and look at his displays of questionable punch resistance, it leads to believe he is likely to be knocked out. And so, I am confident in making this prediction - Wlad KO 8
Anything can happen in boxing especially with someone as unpredictable as Fury but I see Fury getting KOd early.
