To be honest I very much doubt any of Fury or Hennesy knew what the tune was. I'd say they just said to the pipe band "play something traditionally Irish".

I did **** myself when I figured out what they were playing though. Genuinely the first thing I thought was "the Billy boys on Eastside ain't going to like that". I knew that they would be the only ones that picked up on it.

Anyway, it's being a 'pre Provo era' rebel song generally means it get a slide from the PC police.

christ, can you stop embarrassing the rest of us. hes a third generation irish traveller at best, hardly a national treasure is he. i wonder do you get behind our less sucsessful fighters with as much passion and start threads about them?

can you not put the national insecurity complex on display and just appreciate him for what he is. a slightly chinny, completely mental, giant, terrible singing, weirdly skilled boxer. anyway, its hughie we want not tyson......

No my main problem is that he should live in Ireland. It would change his career and life MASSIVELY IF HE EMBRACES ALL THINGS IRISH and comes out to anti English music. He would become FAR MORE IRISH if he lived in Ireland, they would embrace him as one of their own.Look at guys like Chisora and Takaloo, they were not born in the UK,but people see them as Brits because they lived here for a few years and and built big fan bases. If Fury reloated to Ireland, three years down the line when he's packing out arenas in Dublin he will be Irish through and through. So why dos'nt he do that?

One of the Wolfe Tones songs is called 'your never beat the Irish',they also have another one called 'go home British soldiers'.'Your never beat the Irish' was sung by Irish supporters at last years Euro championships when they waited outside the English players hotel to boo, jeer and abuse English players.

It's a quality Irish song .Not sure many on this forum would be a fan of it though especially when boys brigade gets cut out for IRA . Live at the brazen head there's one about 15 mins from Celtic park in the gorbals Glasgow .One in Dublin as well though I just googled .
