He gave Charr a decent fight, took the early rounds if I remember rightly. Tyson Fury should beat him very very easily though.
Sefer Seferi sounds about on point and ties in with him tilting for the Charr v Oquendo winner. A solid comeback considering length of time out. This content is protected
Thought Eddie was peculiar having a go at Tyson about the four opponents. Obviously the first few fights are going to be soft, look at the length of the layoff and the state Tyson was in. I've said all along Eddie wanted Bellew/Whyte/Joshua to catch Tyson cold. Now he's having a go at Tyson for the opponents? Shocking. Eddie is the best talker in the game and says things with a smile on his face and a bit of humor, so he gets away with it. But that was terribly disrespectful to a champion coming back from a three year layoff, having suffered mental healthy issues and shed 7 stone.
Fury having an easy return fight I don’t have a problem with but it needs to be someone that can at least go the distance and is pretty durable without too much risk. Fury needs rounds more than anything! I’ll be annoyed if they stick some bum in that he stops in 1 round and everyone will claim the champ is back! That’s not what he needs
That's absolutely bang on mate. There has to be a balance i feel. Ideally he gets a credible opponent that gives him rounds and something to think about. Trouble is if he goes the full 12 he'll get stated as being finished. If he finishes it early he'll get slated for having a knockover opponent . Ideally he'll have a decent named fight and stop the kid late on after breaking him down. The important factor at this stage is to bump tysons confidence up whilst at the same time pleasing (and not conning the viewing public ) i would think primarily his team will want a confidence boosting win It could be a dent if tyson does go the full 10 or 12 and he starts doubting himself . Very difficult the more you think about it.
There is actually a more-than-usual possibilty here that a comebacking former champion loses to a complete no-hoper in his first fight back. I mean, we just don't know how badly the lay-off and weight yo-yoing has taken its toll, and we really don't know if his new trainer would even know what he's supposed to be looking for. It's okay all the talk about him getting his sharpness back but talk is cheap. There's a real question mark over Tyson Fury right now. We're assuming he can be about 50% of what he was, first fight back, and that should be enough to make light work of some hand-picked no-hoper, but he could turn out to be a completely shot fighter when the bell rings.
Think the opponent must be even worse than we might have imagined..can’t see any other reason why it hasn’t been announced otherwise
Haha, probably! But like I said, it’s the second opponent who’s going to be more intriguing. That’s where we will see exactly where Tyson is up to.
Still no opponent? Are there odds at the UK bookies that Tyson doesn’t fight at all in June? I’d take that bet.
