1. Fury rendered the 13-0 Nascimento (235 lbs, dropped him in the 1st) unconscious in the 5th and is the only fighter to KO him cold in 40 fights. Nascimento went on to go the distance with Kuzmin, Chisora, Duhaupas and Wach among others 2. Fury is the only fighter in 40 fights to KO the 2x world cruiserweight champion Cunningham (210 lbs) and did so in the 7th round 3. Fury beat down and retired prime versions of the highly durable Chisora (242 lbs) and Hammer (248 lbs, dropped him in the 5th) in the 10th and 8th rounds respectively while fighting on the backfoot 4. Fury had the 5 year reigning, 10 consecutive defence, 42-0-1 world heavyweight champion Wilder (231 lbs) legitimately on the canvas three times (twice in the 3rd, once in the 5th) prior to the 7th round TKO, broke Wilder’s left eardrum with a punch (as he did to Malik Scott in sparring, who said he’d never had his eardrum broken before) and became the only fighter to stop him in 44 fights 5. Fury often fought defensively on the backfoot and didn’t sit down on his punches, has been happy to go rounds or even the distance to mitigate risk and reduce damage taken (and sometimes to gain match fitness, experience or play possum for future opponents) and frequently came into fights weight-drained from fat camp 6. Fury has a 70% KO ratio across 27 fights against 215+ lbs opponents: higher than Whyte, Helenius and Ruiz (not to mention Frazier, Shavers and Bowe) despite facing higher quality and more durable opposition and turning pro at 20.33 after only 35 amateur bouts
The praising threads about Fury are starting to get annoying. We all know that he is the most talented HW of this era.
hit a rock with a small hammer enough times it will break Fury lacking 1 hitter quitter power makes the punishment for his opponents much worse. prolonged beatings.
Fury is a big guy so if he puts his weight into his shots it's definitely going to hurt. Wouldn't call him a big puncher though
Not a big puncher for his weight but when you’re over 270lbs and put weight behind punches they’ll do damage.
Its rarely discussed but Fury actually suffers with hand issues (yeah i know all boxers do to some degree) If Fury used his full power (super saiyan blonde hair Fury) a form he has never had to use before he'd destroy men, but also his hands in the process. its his final form that he'll employ against AJ. 1 round job.
Shaking my head. Similar to Wilder, Fury has a resume full of bums. If he fought better opponents, he would not only have a lower KO % but he would have a couple of losses on his record right now too. But you guys only say that about Wilder. Even though Fury has only fought 4 of the current top 50. 0 title defenses No fights in the last 2 years Nandrolone and cocaine Fraudulent champion
Fury was never a soft puncher to begin with. His KO record indicates that, but he hurt Wilder early and he couldnt recover fully. I see this fight playing out very differently though.
I don't see Wilder going 12 personally. As long as Fury keeps the pressure on, he will break sooner or later.
