Fury's promoter explained why they suddenly announced the fight with Usyk.

    "The reason why we announced this is that the contracts must be submitted to the competent organizations, especially the IBF. We had to do this so that Filip Hrgovic does not overtake us, that is, before the IBF orders that Usyk must fight him. We had to deliver the contract to them because the IBF has priority right now,'' Warren explained to TNT Sports Boxing.

    "We also knew that when we handed over the contract, the information would leak out very quickly. We had to take the bull by the horns. In an ideal world, I would not say that the contract has been signed yet. I would wait for Tyson to finish Ngannou first and do the job. We wish we could do it that way. Once the bell rings, it will be Tyson's fight,'' he concluded.

    In other words,

    “Look, we need to use Usyk’s name to drum up interest in Fury’s next ‘fight’. We dropped our nuts last time and the world laughed at us…with Usyk saying December doesn’t work we need to make the world believe he’s going to make these negotiations fail and we’re the victim. Tyson is one nose beer shy of breaking up with Parker and putting his Ferrari on the freeway again…so we need the UFC circus to sell.

    So it’s December or nothing (knowing full well Usyk said Dec wasn’t an option).

    He's not wrong. When you deal with several ABCs, you have different timelines. They have different priorities, For them, it's the belt, their org, not the champ especially with too many 'what ifs' come to play.

    Hurt? I was actually laughing at the preposterous notion of someone using the name of Oleksander Usyk to sell a boxing match. LOL.
