You're exactly the kind of "long-suffering" anti-Fury masochist I describe, and one that posts an inordinate amount about his physique (as if normal men care). It's not a bodybuilding contest, as Joshua and Dubois keep proving. Wasn't Joe Louis staggered twice and knocked down by a bum who was perhaps even fatter than Ruiz? Before: After: Classless and dishonest but par for the course.
I'm not a Fury fan but I do like his **** talking sometimes and this one was good for building the hype, doesn't affect the fight one bit but funny to see some trash talk, and Usyk just staring him down with that cold look
Whatever dude, all this pearl clutching because I dont speak polite of a man who has spent his entire career behaving like a douche.
If people still believe Fury's nonsense about mental health, then more fool them. Bet there are still people who genuinely believe what he says about his time out of the ring
I believe him. He has mental health issues amd as someone who been depressed and suicidal he says a lot of relatable things but he also seems to milk it and make false promises. Like donating money to the homeless or being happy to live in a council flat. If he really did that and believed that he wouldnt move like he does with his wwe childish nonsense and obvious coke addiction. I think he just really wants adoration and attention.
Usyk is a different breed of warrior. He's the epitome of the strong silent type and nothing phases him whatsoever. He's a very jovial fun-loving guy and trash talk and trying to intimidate his opponents with false bravado are not his style. What makes him intimidating is his unshakable self-belief and utter fearlessness and you can't fake that. But he is a master of mind games and make no mistake he will bite off your testicles like a rabid dog so to speak and spit them in your face if you show too much disrespect. Look at what he did to Marco Huck after he crossed the line. He really wanted to punish Huck for his disrespect and he really reveled in doing so when he got the chance to do so This content is protected Does this look like a scared or insecure man to you? Look at the expression on his face while AJ is having that huge tantrum. He even keeps his cool after AJ disgracefully threw his belts out of the ring and shoulder barged his senior citizen trainer trying to instigate a fight for no goddamn reason. Usyk kept a cool head and refrained from administering a third baptism to AJ when many others would not been able to do so and that's because he's a very bad man with a very good heart and 100% secure in himself. I think the sheer physicality Fury brings is at least a bit perturbing to Uysk. He just saw him easily pushing back and manhandling with VERY little effort the guy that (at least in the early rounds) was like a rhino for him.
It was cringe…but that said he still batters Usyk ooooorrrrr he’ll stink the joint out and win a close decision.
Usyk whooped AJ x 2 and all those giants in the WSB when he was much lighter than he is now albeit he was better and much quicker and had faster reflexes and reaction times back then. He still wasn't intimated by their physicality though. Ironically it was lightest and shortest one who is built most like Chisora who gave him his toughest fight Usyk 211lbs - Nistor 233lbs Usyk 213lbs - Modugno 277lbs Usyk 210lbs - Majidov 235lbs Usyk 211lbs - Joyce 238lbs Usyk 209lbs - Brechlin 263lbs Usyk 208lbs - Fa 246lbs This content is protected
they frickin turn my stomach. dont understand how someone can be such a 2 faced worm so easily. but then i realize most are just a bunch of dorky kids that have no idea how to be men. cause knowing they are actual grown men would be too depressing.
Usyk is a different breed. He had 350 fights as an amateur and he is a handy bare-knuckle fighter as well. He is probably the most experienced active boxer in the world right now. In the Eastern European amateur scene, there are all types of fighters. Huge punching monsters like Wilder, and "seven feet bear moths" like Fury - only many of these guys won't make it to the pros so you'll never hear of them. But the point is: Usyk has seen and fought and sparred literally every single type of fighter there is. That's why Wilder's power or Fury's height and build won't faze him. Fury, by the way, is 6'7 - he is not even close to 6'9, never was; just look at those pictures he stands beside legit 6'9 guys like Magic Johnso or Thor Björnsson. Usyk simply sees these guys differently. He's seen thousands of fighters from a close distance in the hundreds of tournaments and gyms he's been to or during those thousands of sparring sessions he sparred. While a fight fan is amazed by Wilder's power, Usyk is probably thinking "yeah, he reminds me of that Romanian guy I fought in what, 2007-2008, he was quite easy to beat". Or when he sees Fury, he's probably thinking "there was this Bulgarian guy, he was what, 6'8, and moved quite fast - still, not as fast as me, I know how to beat this type".
I don't mind if people lie or are classless when proven wrong but I enjoy exposing the hypocrisy. I would find this forum boring if the majority held my views, a major part of the fun is enjoying the hysterical meltdowns when Fury beats the latest guy who was supposed to have his number. As for "behaving like a douche his entire career", that's entirely subjective and too vague to analyse.
How many real fights has Usyk had in his professional career? I would say 10: Glowacki, Mchunu, Hunter, Huck, Briedis, Gassiev, Bellew, Chisora, Joshua x2. Which opponents gave Usyk his toughest fights/came closest to beating him? 1. Briedis (6'1, 75 reach, probably about 210 lbs post-rehydration) 2. Joshua 2 (6'6, 82 reach, 245 lbs) 3. Chisora (6'1.5, 74 reach, 255 lbs) 4. Joshua 1 (6'6, 82 reach, 240 lbs) 5. Hunter (6'2, 79.5 reach, 199 lbs) 3 out of 4 of Usyk's toughest fights have come at heavyweight, despite having 7 real fights at cruiser to only 3 at heavy. Thus the narrative that Usyk performs better against bigger opponents is highly suspect, at least over 12 rounds in a professional setting.
