- Fought 14-0 Chisora (slight favourite) at 22, coming off wars with English/British level McDermott 13 and 22 months prior - Signed to fight Haye (big favourite) coming off getting dropped by relatively light punching cruiser Cunningham, Haye pulled out twice and cancelled the fight - Fought 11.5 year undefeated Ring/lineal champion Wlad (huge favourite) in Germany, which neither Wilder or Joshua were even considering at the time - Fought 40-0 WBC champ Wilder (slight favourite) in America coming off 31 months of inactivity, 10 stone of obesity and drug binging, while team Joshua was still hoping to "marinate" it further (aka age Wilder out another couple of years at least or have him lose) - Rematched 42-0-1 WBC champ Wilder (slight favourite) in America coming off getting dropped twice and almost KO'd by Wilder 14 months prior and being badly cut in a 12 round war with the unheralded Wallin 5 months prior - Scheduled to rematch 22-0 undisputed heavyweight champion P4P No.1 Usyk coming off losing to him 7 months prior and going life and death with an 0-0 MMA fighter 14 months prior, getting dropped in both fights Providing the Usyk rematch goes ahead Fury will have five fights as the underdog, which could have been six had Haye not pulled out on one weeks' notice. Correct me if I'm wrong but among Ring/lineal heavyweight champions I think only Ali and Holyfield have upset the odds a similar or greater number of times.
Whether people like it or not. Usyk Fury was even up with Usyk having taken more damage up till the point whereby Usyk turned it around with a knockdown following Fury throwing the worst lazy complacent 1,2 of his career whilst tired. Rematch I expect Fury to burn his gas early winning clearer rounds then cruise purposefully dropping rounds later where his power is zapped. It's another ebb and flow close fight whereby the man who executes on the night wins. Also don't rule out that it's very possible one of them has an off night and loses much more clearly. Both looked about 80% in that fight and nothing in boxing rematch history suggests at this stage either can come much better....but Fury might because he's boxing jesus christ incarnate and he has now payed his karma as you shall see.
