People forget about this kinda context all the time.

The difference is Wilder has always been quite ****. Remember when he lost 6 rounds straight against 70 year old Ortiz before Ortiz got cocky and then got tagged?

Parker with the same camp supported by Fury does the same to that Wilder in my opinion. Wilder was losing 9 rounds to chinny Spzilka ffs. Granite chin Parker is a better boxer than Spzilka

    No actually.

I'm basing his prime on the fact he wasnt pushing 40, that he was more active, and hadn't been beaten half to death multiple times against a bitter rival.

These are common sense objective realities that anyone without bias can acknowledge lessens a fighter, let alone an unschooled, fast twitch, timing based fighter.

Helenius was a scrub who revived his career by beating that nothing Polish blob twice. Gerald Washington destroyed him. Duhaupas destroyed him. His big run of success was over a decade before Deontay beat him. AND Robert was a replacement opponent for Deontay on a week's notice.

I dont think it's a leap to think that Wilder aged 34 was better than Wilder aged 38.

I think if Wilder had mixed it with top 10 heavyweights throughout his career he'd have a few more losses but I also think he'd have a fair few wins. If you lined him up against everyone Joshua has ever beaten for example, I think Wilder beats most of them but possibly comes unstuck against someone like Povetkin

I also think 34 year old Wilder would have beaten 27 year old Parker like Joshua did but we'll never know.

Clearly isn’t prime Wilder but the truth his he spent his prime fighting weak opposition and only stepped up against Fury and Ortiz. I would have liked to see him take on more tests in his prime and I think Parker would have given him a great deal of trouble. He may have been a good heavyweight, but for me he was never a great.

You're objectively wrong. But that's okay.

I never said he's much better but stylistically he's a tougher match up for Wilder, Ortiz is a Southpaw who fights at range so he gives Wilder a chance to land his bomb. Parker has a better chin than Ortiz and forced Wilder on the backfoot which negates his power and range.

If Parker comes forward throwing more punches then Joyce is going to sleep

Ortiz from Wilder 1 would spank Parker around the ring.

No, he doesn't. Deontay is damaged goods, couldn't pull the trigger and had a bad fight plan. His legs go to jello now anytime he is hit. That is residual from the brutal treatment Fury gave him. And Father Time.

Parker was unable to do that in the first fight as his team got it completely wrong and brought in him far too heavy for the fight .
