This is a very reasonable view, and I agree for the most part.

With his chin? Dont think soo.
He was already old and got cardio problems.

Ortiz wide open because he is agresive fighter. Parker got quick hands and can punch. Imo Ortiz is not better.

Ortiz was slow compared to Parker, and planted his feet with little head movement.

    JP always schools Wilder

No i don't think Wilder was at 100 percent but i also don't think that has anything to do with the outcome tonight, Parker has the chin to take Wilder's single shots and forced Wilder on the backfoot which negates Wilder's range and power.

We see evidence in the 2nd Fury fight that Wilder was completely nullified when he was forced on the backfoot and had no range to use his right hand.

As i said Parker has the best chin of any fighter Wilder has fought, and once again Wilder was exposed for his lack of elite skills and not being able to fight on the backfoot against a capable Heavyweight.

Of course it does we judge fighters on the best fighters they fought and Wilder is seriously lacking wins against capable Heavyweights, who's to say Wilder wouldn't of been exposed early had he fought more notable top 10 Heavyweights ? alot of the hype Wilder got in recent years is losing to an overweight Fury who an MMA fighter did better against.

Your saying this now with hindsight because of how bad Wilder got beat, but yet no one was saying this prior to the Parker fight. Most people had Wilder the favourite to beat Joshua inside of 6 rounds because Joshua looked shaky against Helenius who Wilder destroyed. And also had Wilder as a huge favourite to beat Parker. Could it just be Wilder was over hyped and not as good as some people claimed ?

Wilder can't fight on the backfoot and it was exposed again tonight, Wilder looked like garbage when Fury did the samething in their 2nd fight it's that simple. No one was saying what you're saying after Wilder destroyed Helenius and most had him the favourite over the likes of Joshua.

Evidently he is. Because Wilder couldn't even knock Parker down tonight, let alone TKO him. I do attribute some of the victory to Wilders ring rust, but he has nobody to blame but himself for that.

Far, far more skilled and packed much more power in his punches. Also a leftie.

Parker is decidedly ordinary. Sometimes that is enough. Big enough, strong enough, fighting heart but Ortiz would have sparked him.

To the bigger issue, these kind of questions can be raised and are legitimate because the fat ******* fought so infrequently and failed to cement a real legacy. He's still more "what if" than "what was".

Wilder was not out of the ring for 2 years. Where are people getting this? His last fight was Helenius Oct of 2022. It was a stupid fight cause Helenius offered nothing and Wilder got the KO where fans of his screamed he is back. With that win Wilder was trying to get the highest payday fight and needed this tune for the AJ payday.

But yes, Wilder's record is horrible. Best win is Ortiz who , if we go by some of the post here, shouldn't be rated high cause Ortiz was approaching 40.

Ortiz did not have a great gas tank. He couldn't even track down Malik Scott to finish him. But Ortiz had excellent range, very good timing on his counters and was in a whole other league power-wise than Parker. And a brutal finishing instinct.

Take a look at Parker's performance v. Alexander Flores. Now take a look at Ortiz's.

Wilder's resume ain't good - but nobody wanted Ortiz back when Wilder fought him the first time.

Really ? based on what ? he's only notable win was in 2015 vs Bryant Jennings, recently he's been floored 5 times by Martin and Ruiz and Parker beat Ruiz......

Parker is a former world champion Ortiz has never been a world champion, their 2 common opponents Wilder, Ruiz, Ortiz is 0-3 against them whilst Parker is 2-0 against them.

Parker also has a better resume with wins over Ruiz, H.Fury, Wilder, Chisora x2, Takam.

Soo what when he got weak chin? Dude go down with all little heavy hitter in his carrer.
    Never beat anybody.
You can be sure that he would win and I think Parker can stop him or put down and win decision like Andy Ruiz.

Nothing wrong with his "twitch muscles" when he destroyed Helenius who went on to give Joshua a rough night.

Had a feeling all of the excuses would come out after this loss. Everyone was dead certain Wilder still had what it takes, funny seeing how fast they backtrack.

Well Ortiz offered to be Miller replacement for AJ fight on social media, was offered a career high purse and his team turned it down.

Ortiz was offered the Whyte fight when at Bathroom, turned it down to fight Dave Allen.

It's a matter of timing with these guys who turn pro so old. Wilder ain't the Wilder he was before Fury beat his brains in twice. Ortiz was 107 years old when Ruiz squeaked by him. Hell, he had no legs when he destroyed Martin. But the version Deontay beat, especially the first time out, was quality. A highly skilled operator with real pop. And now Deontay is learning what is to be old, have legs that betray you and not be able to pull the trigger at openings. Parker reaped the benefits of being in the right place at the right time. And kudos to him for exploiting that opportunity.
