Helenius' best days were over a decade before and he was a replacement on a week's notice.

Win, lose or draw that wont boost the Wilder triliogy. Wilder just got exposed by a 40 year old Oriental and Pacific regional contender.

So you're the type of person that thinks Ali was prime when he fought Larry Holmes.

Parker is 31 by the way and has been active all year unlike Wilder who got retired by Fury.

I'm sorry wee man but after tonight we have to move Big Marty Rogan ahead of Wilder among Fury's best wins.

Can we agree that Wlad was old when Fury fought him?

Wlad wasn't prime when Fury beat him.

Ortiz's whole reputation is built on beating Jennings in 2015 you say Wilder was "quality" vs Ortiz. He lost a majority of the rounds and some feel he was very fortunate to get a lucky break when Ortiz looked on the verge of stopping him.

There was no "quality" in regards to elite skills Ortiz was the better boxer and Wilder's power bailed him out of crisis, fair play to Wilder for overcoming it and i've never questioned his heart. But i don't see how this has any relevance to how Parker beat him tonight.

Parker come in a bit heavier at 250 pounds and his gameplan was the back up Wilder and negate his power and range so he couldn't get set to throw that right hand. Wilder cannot fight on the backfoot as evident in the 2nd Fury fight and the gameplan from Parker and his team worked perfectly.

No version of Wilder ever beats the Parker tonight and Parker is much more proven at world level than Ortiz.

Also if we are using the age excuse for Wilder well doesn't that apply to Ortiz ? he was older than Wilder was tonight when he fought Wilder.

No he was Prime probably in 2012/13, which is only 2/3 years before

oh and then of course he magically became prime again when he fought AJ, lets not forget that narrative

    bhahaahaha

Oritz was already shot in June, 2019 and didn't like Eddie's offer of a flat fee to fight AJ. Even so, I was disappointed he turned it down.

I don't remember the proposed Whyte fight (I do remember him fighting Allen). Can you fill me in on what happened?

Not to mention the "authenticity" of Helenius' performance and the "earnestness" with which he pursed his craft against Wilder on that particular autumn day in New York city last year remains a subject of some controversy.

Apparently it reported Whyte turned down a chance to fight Ortiz prior to this.

However both Whyte and Hearn stated Ortiz was offered Whyte fight but chose Ortiz whilst he was with matchroom after his poor display against Malik scott (only 2 fights Ortiz had under Matchroom).

I couldn't make sense of that sentence. Have a second go at it?
