Good move by Fury, he has only 15 pro fights and is only 22 years old, he is not ready for either Klitschkos, time is on his side, he needs to get more exposure, perhaps HBO will show his fights now since Greenburg is gone...........

Fury looks terrible really. He can improve such things as stamina and ring generalship through experience and conditioning. But the basics... his punch technique, his footwork, his tendency to give away his height while trying to land on the inside. All this will likely stick with him and not do him any favors.

In the best case I can imagine Fury to crack the top 10 and become a fringe contender, maybe even get a title shot one day. I don't see him crack the top 5 though, not with the K brothers taking up 2 of those spots anyways.

I disagree, i think he can improve his punching technique and certain parts of his defence. He is still very young and will only get more powerful and better with experience as long as he stays focussed. But in terms of challenging the K bros, not many people can.....

He needs more fights under his belt and fight some top 10 world fighters soon.

I'm open to listening regarding punch technique. I have never ever witnessed a guy throwing cotton-ball arm punches with little torque coming from his hips in his early years improve and become a technically skillied puncher who uses his feet and hips to generate momentum.

I've seen guys improve their defense, I've seen them improve stamina. I've seen them improve conditioning, heck sometimes I almost believe fighters somehow improved their chin over time.

But I've never ever seen a fighter improve their basic punch technique. A slapper is always a slapper. Or is he?

Ok he isn't the best puncher but if a certain Mr Khan was able to improve his punch technique, then why can't he? If you watch Khan now, he has a much better and powerful jab and has now more punches in his repitore. Before Roach, he was very limited. The way he kept Zab quiet with that jab was very impressive.

Remember, Fury is very young for a heavyweight and is still quite green. Tyson was one of those one offs who peaked very early, many peak in there late 20s, early 30s.

You can't blame him. He will fight Rogan, another bum then Ditrimenko.

By the he will hope Wlad will retire, then he can step in, fight another bum and gain the world title while preserving his O

fury needs to build an international name....tye fields/kevin mcbride would be good next few opponents....domestically, rogan would be agreat fight....once they ar eout the way, maybe shut that bum harrison up for good...althoguh id rather not see him back in a ring..why does he deserve it??....18/24 months, big domestic fight with price who on paper is the better man but who i just havbe a gut feeling wont have the 'fight' in him to beat fury after he gains anothe rtwo years fighting and training experience....fury needs to up the class of his trainers and sparring though or he will lose this momentum he is building up...

..i have liked the kid from the start and will watch him whenver he is on..why??..cos he has two attributes you cant teach..he likes a fight and he has big bollocks!!

No way will Wlad retire in the near future. He has peaked and in very good shape. He can last for another 5 years at least!

Good move... No need for him to get spanked, wich might ruin his career.
Helenius can be if he develops further.

fight for the Irish and Euro titles and then he's ready?

Not necessary to fight a top 10 heavy? :huh

Let him get those two titles then fight an Arreola or Thompson or Boytsov, somebody credible...
