I'm a huge fan of both guys btw. been watching Usyk since his olympics gold medal. seen him fight live twice. I'm just saying, as a betting man, all the advantages go to Fury. I'll stand by what I said.. Usyk can't fight on the inside, he won't know what to do when a 280 pound man will lean on him and hit him with sneaky shots. Hopefully Fury will be motivated enough to fight Usyk, and he gets that anger in him.. but thats unlikely, they both respect each other. the press conference will be polite and friendly I'm sure of that.
I like the fact so many are writing Usyk off vs Fury. But I'm used to it. They did the same before he fought AJ and were adamant for years that he would never be able to deal with the big boys even though I presented a lot of proof of him actually doing so and backed it up even more with sound logic and reasoning. He proved them all wrong. I think I'm very fair when it comes to making predictions and I think it's a very tough match up stylistically for both of them but the Usyk disrespect never ceases to amaze me. Even if he were to school Fury it won't convince the naysayers of what a special talent and fighter he is which FTR he's already proven and as you can see by my avatar I love Fury too. This content is protected BTW, he dropped Mchunu with an uppercut too
A giant can break down a door with brute force but it won't mean nothing if he's too big to get through the door However, a Cat can gain entry by squeezing through the cat flap without having to break anything at all This content is protected
Sorry what? The door ? The cat flap? God. Fury will walk into the ring, which is basically 'the door' and as great a fighter as Usyk is, it can be argued fury is decent boxer himself, and as we know, is also a fighter who can use his size. Anyone who wishes to believe that fury will do what the bodybuilder did and just wait for usyk to work in and out is delusional. Usyk will have his moments, but in the end it will be a long, painful night
Boxed for four years. Spent eleven in Northern Shaolin and yet it seems when those, such as yourself, can't seem to add things to a conversation they try to misdirect from it or attack the speaker. If you can, add an intelligent rebuttal of anything I've written and we can speak, not as two people who agree but as two people who understand you can disagree intelligently. Or... if you aren't capable of that, continue to add nothing of value with a pointless half question, half statement like the one you made above and hope you get digital likes. You do you.
It would be interesting to see Fury try the bully boxing tactics on Usyk. Maybe he gets his ears boxed off but who knows. It's easy to view the Joshua fight and infer that the extra size isn't going to matter but Joshua isn't nearly skilled at closing distance as Fury. He also isn't a competent inside fighter or effective at using his weight to physically drain an opponent. It would make for compelling viewing that's for sure.
You can't compare how it went with aj with how it will go with fury, fury has lots of things aj doesnt , more experience, better ring iq , not to mention better distance. Ajs distance is and was abysmal vs usyk. Usyk and fury could be the best fight yet,, a barn stormer, a history maker! Ooh, I'm getting excited for it, I hope fury can stay focused and up for it , he needs to atleast fight usyk and aj to cement his legacy, really.
Usyk has amazing skills, ring intelligence, and movement, and he certainly stands a good chance at winning. At this point, I’d say it’s a 50/50;fight Usyk is THAT good.
Also think it depends what version of Fury turns up on the usyk front. But yeah agree needs more to be a goat
Fury wasn't going to see some unknown Swede who went the 12 round distance with Adrian Granat as a legitimate threat, especially after the Tom Schwarz fight. He wasn't going to take a non-punching cruiserweight who'd recently had a competitive fight with Adamek seriously either. Wlad may have underestimated the journeymen/fringe contenders who flattened him as well, the difference being that Fury didn't get destroyed. Whining that Fury was fouling against Wallin is absurdly partisan from someone who defends Wlad's disgraceful performance against Povetkin. The best version of Fury I've ever seen was the Wilder 2 Fury. What Fury had lost in athleticism he more than compensated for in physical maturity, weight (more effective wrestling, more striking power, more strike resistance) discipline, experience, even more confidence, skills and versatility. This is why the average top 5 modern heavyweight is 34+ years old, not 27. For reference, when Wlad was 27 he was in between getting blown out by Sanders and getting stopped by Brewster. Fury lost the plot mentally so his team pulled him out. Why did Wlad duck a rematch with Puritty? Sanders? Why did he duck Chisora? If Wlad wanted to beat Fury he should have beaten him as a massive A-side 4/1 favourite in Germany, instead of getting schooled 10-2 by consensus and falling victim of some of the most extravagant showboating of all time, certainly the most in a heavyweight championship fight. Wlad got another bite of the cherry against a chinny, gassing AJ and he f*cked that up too, despite having the bodybuilder out on his feet in the 6th round. The same AJ who liberal Wlad didn't support his countryman Usyk against lmao.
Wlad didn't fight a prime Fury either and Wlad had an activity advantage as well as a home/A-side advantage after delaying the fight.
