First of all Arreola was beyond shot when he fought wilder. Second of all Arreola would have had to feel the power before the so called injury to wilder in the rounds before. He did feel wilders power and compared it to Vitalys even though Vitaly was passed his prime. He said that wilder power is more like a slap where as Vitaly had real man power.

It felt like a slap because he had a broken hand and a torn bicep, both of which required surgery. And Wilder stopped him faster.

The vast majority of fights are stopped if someone has a torn bicep. Let alone both. You do realize that, right?

Instead of bashing Arreola and Wilder, why don't you give Wilder some credit for not quitting and still scoring a TKO WITH A BROKEN HAND AND TORN BICEP.

Vitali quit with a bad shoulder, for God's sake.

And Wilder stopped Arreola quicker with the bad arm in tow.

Sounds like Holmes, after Tyson floored him three times and stopped him, claiming Tyson didn't hit as hard as Norton.

    THEN DON'T GET STOPPED.

Why would you try to downplay a torn rotator cuff as a bad shoulder? Can't be honest or something?

Who cares. Vitali didn't hit hard with a torn rotator cuff, so he must not have been a puncher. That's storyline here, right?

I'm going to go have a beer with friends.

    Snark away Loser.

Conclusion is Vitaly would punch harder but wilder would slap you harder

Come on you guys have to start giving credit where credit is due. Wilder hasn't got a stellar record but give him credit for the guys he did beat. Stiverne of the first fight was a top quality guy. Stiverne of the first fight was every bit as good as Chisora or Whyte maybe even better. Arguably as good as Ruiz. Ortiz is one of the most skilled fighters in the divison. Everybody likes to critique his age but the top guys are scared to fight him, or at least their management is. Even though Wilder is not that good technically, it takes ring iq and skill to deliver these knock punches that he has consistently been landing. Like the old saying goes, "Power means nothing if you can't land the punch". Well guess what he has been landing on EVERYBODY. He has dropped every man that has stepped in the ring. If Wilder manages to knockout Fury in the rematch, then the Ruiz/Joshua winner and Usyk you HATERS won't have anything to say. His legacy and resume would be secured. Then again i'm sure you will Still find something.

not at all a fan of Wilder the man because of the way he conducts himself and the low IQish stuff he usually spits nor Wilder the boxer for the total lack of skills. The RH though....it deserves to be in the conversation for the hardest punch ever.
but ill tell you what Wilder is... one of the greatest overachievers in boxing and i respect that.

not me, if he beats all those guys you mentioned he's the real deal. if he does beat them though, it'll likely be by KO after being outboxed.
    soo...
i'd rate him, but i'm personally not appreciative of boxers that get by on power at the expense of well rounded skill. and he still wouldn't look to too good head to head against the HW greats of the sport.

He's quite possibly the most powerful punching Champion in boxing history.

But, undoubtedly, there would have been many glass cannons over the years who hit harder but never got anywhere in the sport.

There is no accurate measure of Wilders punch power, that’s not in anyway dismissing it, however!

Wilder hasn’t fought anyone of genuine quality who wasn’t somehow diminished from their best.
His resumé is 85% fighters from outside the top ranked 300, 400 or worse completely unranked!
Fighters with poor reactions, limited ability to ride punches and worse still, absolutely zero ambition to stay off or get up from the canvass!

So I repeat, it’s impossible, despite an impressive TKO%, to rate Wilders punch power but further, it’s ludicrous to say he’s the hardest puncher ever.
