Fury's win over Wladimir better than any win of Mike Tyson?

    This. No comparison.

Mike Tyson was/is a mega star. Mike Tyson knocked out Holmes, who had never been knocked out before and never was ever again.

Fury's resume besides Wlad is nothing special. Not to mention three people have beat Wlad in a much better fashion than Fury did. Cunningham is okay, but far from an elite heavyweight. Chisora is also another decent, but far from elite heavyweight.

Bruno, Tucker, Spinks, Thomas, and Holmes were either current or former champions when Tyson beat them. Anything is possible, but it's way too soon to be comparing Fury to Tyson.

You picked that Wlad to win , so you would be wrong 9 times outta 10.

The same argument could be made for Tyson vs. Spinks, which many bring up as one Mike's most important wins.

People exaggerate when they say Mike lost all his big fights.

He unified all the titles and ripped Spinks apart to start a new lineage. Berbick, Tucker, Smith and Spinks were all big fights. So were all the other title defenses he made in the 80s.

His resume ****s on Fury's at the moment.

I don't see how anyone can look at this from any other angle.

Most definitely. But Mike blasted him out, and Spinks had proved himself to be an established HW at that point.

I think it's safe to assume that Tucker, Spinks, Holmes, Bruno and Ruddock, would all be top 10 fighters in today's era.

    No way!

Fury outboxed Wlad for 10 outta 12 round, that was impressive. And Holmes was way more shot.

Really, you want to define a boxer's career achievements based on one fight? Some people on here baffle me, they really do...

I was just going to say that the wins themselves are about on par, Tyson's performance was better.

You can look at it from different angles.

Fury did great, but it was a lacklustre fight, and Fury was also slightly bigger than Wlad.

When Mike fought Larry, he was obviously faded and he'd been in active. But it was still very impressive how Mike blasted him out, being the smaller guy. You've also got to note that nobody else ever knocked out Larry in 75 fights, and afterwards, Larry went on to beat Ray Mercer, as well as putting in a great performance against Evander when he was at his best.

Fury's win is better than any single win of Mike Tyson's, but Mike Tyson currently has a far better career. So, poll question and thread title are in conflict.
