Tyson knocked out Larry Holmes in 4. Wladimir Klitschko went the distance with Fury and wasn't ever hurt.

No, it was not an impressive win at all as neither fighter threw many punches, really boring.......................Vlad will knock Fury out in the rematch, Vlad is the favorite to win the rematch................Vlad just got lazy. Vitali said that he did not do his homework.................

I think we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves.

Fury has real shot at being a first tier ATG but right now first Tyson has a much, much better body of work. I do think the Wlad win is better than anything Mike did, but people can and have argued for Holmes or Spinks.

Let's see the gypsy king build his legacy with a string of quality wins.

Yes, Fury's win over Wladimir is better than any single win Mike registered. While I think that is decisive, I also do give a shout that Mike has the one or two wins that are generally underrated and somewhat in the ballpark.

As for people discussing who has had the better careers between Fury and Mike, which I do not believe was the threads' intent whatsoever, then it is Mike by three and a half country miles.

(EDIT: OK, just saw the poll question which def says "whose career is better"... in which case, Mr. Mike Tyson by three and a half country miles)

I didn't think Fury looked as great as some seem to think beating Wladimir. I saw Wladimir from the Jennings fight who barely won that. In Wladimir/Fury I saw a bunch of close rounds with Fury winning 7-8 of them. I was surprised when I logged on and saw so many scores with 9-10 rounds for Fury. I do think it was one of the most lackluster taking of the lineal titles from both an excitement and convincing sense but it is certainly not one of the worst for the resume and legacy of Fury. He ended one of the greatest single reigns in heavyweight history.
