The REAL question is why AJ vs Usyk is not announce yet ? can he say something about that ? or it's just another "next week mate" BS ?
The fight will happen in September. Apparently you can’t make fights during COVID as the money isn’t there but by September Joshua will have fought twice during covid whilst Fury and Wilder won’t have a single fight between them.
He would have been the one that wanted out the most if the money wasn't there. A lot to lose, not much to win for him. Going from a huge payday option vs Joshua, with all the belts on the line, to a 3rd fight with Wilder where only his belts and reputation are on the line, and a well placed right hand might end the fairytale no matter how much better of a boxer he is. Wilder however has a hell of a lot to win, even when fighting for a lower purse. The WBC belt back, winning the Ring belt, restore his damaged reputation...
I actually believe that more then the covid stuff, being that supposedly Parker had it to but was at the last weekends UFC. If the fight still happens then maybe it was COVID but for now I think it was lack of interest .
Good, I’m glad the fight is bombing in ticket sales. I do not want to watch this fight again, and seems like most people feel the same way.
Just putting it out there. Fury was supposedly mandated to fight wilder by September in the arbitration. Putting back to October missed that date and even if it was due to health ground wilder would surely have grounds to go back and contest to see the actual positive test etc or ask for compensation. in my opinion they are all in on this and wanted to take it away from the period where there’s to many other PPVs with Tank, McGregor, Spence etc
October 9th is the new date for Fury Wilder III. https://www.skysports.com/boxing/ne...hip-will-take-place-in-las-vegas-on-october-9
ffs! We go from AJ vs Fury and Usyk vs Joyce to Fury Wilder really soon to Fury Wilder in a few months...maybe...covid is on the rise globally again! lose the Usyk Joyce fight and maybe AJ v Usyk doesn't happen. Still on brand for boxing though, so there's that I guess.
