    A question for you all...

Working on the assumption that David Haye moves up to heavyweight after Saturday, win or lose, how many fights do you think he will need to land himself a title shot? And who do you think he should/probably will fight to do it?

Depends. if people start talking about him across the pond it will come along quicker. It also depends on politics and how influential his manager is - he'd land a title shot quicker with Frank Warren...

I just hope he doesnt get carried away, he has had a fighters attitude since turning pro, he has fought good oposition all the way through when he fights the 201lb+ guys he'll have to be more crude.

There also isnt an inlcing in which champ he is eyeing first, the front page says he want to KO Wlad but that fight would be more difficult than any other the other title holders imo.

it will all depend on how the alphabet bodies choose to rank Haye.

Judging by the comment about Wlad I think he setting himself for a big fall. If the comment on the main page are for real Haye has lost respect from me.

Ability wise Haye`s power may follow him to the Heavies but his chin is a bit of a question mark. He will beat 10-15 rated heavies but in the Heavies all it takes is one punch on the button and your out - even if your chin is pretty solid

Wonder if Haye will complain that he's weight drained when he ktfo in the heavy division by some 40 year old yank.

Put him in with Audley Harrison and see how that goes lol!

You can only go on what you see, and he looked mightily impressive disposing of Tomasz Bonin in 72 seconds, whilst Danny Williams has stated that Haye could blow away any heavy in the world bar Klitschko at the moment.

I don't agree that signing with Frank Warren would be the best thing for him to do - Frank doesn't have great record of success with heavies, and would keep Haye on the domestic scene for too long whilst lining his own pockets.

Stick with Maloney - he knows the heavyweight circuit better than any other British promoter, or failing that, sign with GBP in America.

Signing with Frank Warren will only lead to the ridiculous merry go round we have had since Lennox retired.

How much has ol' Fish eye made out of that circus I wonder?

I would love to see him in with Skelton next. It would give us a great idea of his potential at that weight, considering Skelton is our best heavy and has just come off of a world title challenge where he hung in tough. Haye would have little to fear if he believes himself to be world class standard and if he did a better job than Chagaev then he would get serious props. The last thing I want to see is Haye do the Audley thing of going and fighting American jouneymen for a year or two. The Skelton fight would be over here so another chance to see him live.

Any stories of Warren trying to sign Lewis???

To be fair if he had a deal with Warren where every other fight was in the UK, and Haye could pick the opponent, would not be to bad.

That would be good. I would love for Haye to be able to continue his career in Britain but the move to heavyweight makes this very unlikely. He should definetly stay out of the whole British heavyweight mess but I still want a Skelton vs Haye fight.
