Povetkin seems to the the one to watch of the up-and-comers.

I finally saw Chazz Witherspoon on FNF the other night, and I don't think he is going to live up to expectations, once he gets in the heat of battle with a top 20 fighter.

I think Denis Boytsov is an excellent prospect.

You're joking, right? Greenberg is a knockout waiting to happen - and if ya put him in the ring with Chagaev OR Ibragimov, it WILL. :nod

That other guy you touted, Drummond, is already 32 years old. If he's the future of the HW division, boxing is in BIG trouble!:yep

Povetkin is probably the most likely future champ out there. Boystov, perhaps Haye if his chin can handle a HW punch, Chazz Witherspoon IF he improves and sets down on his punches a bit more. Most of the others mentioned, like Virchis, and particularly McCall and Golota are OLD. If they were ever to by chance win a belt they'd be nothing more than caretaker champs, footnotes like Shannon Briggs.

The future of the HW division is here, and his name is Sam Peter. You'll see when he starches Oleg and then Klitschko in a rematch, then EVERYBODY'll be taking him seriously, finally.

I think Johnathan Banks from Kronk gym will eventually move up to HW after getting his reps in the cruiserweight division.

I still think Vitaly has 3 good yrs left in him and a vitaly-Peter match up would be great. I can't wait till that fight happens.

Povetkin and Peter will win belts.

Solis and Boytsov might win belts.

    No hopers:
Dimitrenko (can“t take a punch, freezes up everytime he is hit hard)
The young Americans (Arreola, Johnson, Witherspoon, Chambers)

I'd say David Haye; possibly David Rodriguez; Povetkin; Solis; and some others.
I think McCall can be a champ; it'd make me happy if he was as well. Evander has a good chance against Ibragimov.
Greenberg I really want to see step up, but I don't think he'll win a decent belt.
