Last night in my opinion was a very bad night for boxing. #1 Floyd says he will retire or at least take 2 years off from boxing. #2 Hatton has no future at Welter and loses his 0.

Who is left to fight? Cotto vs Margartio or Williams or Cintron I guess.

Someone cheer me up...i am having a hard time seeing the exciting matchups out there for boxing.

Cheer up, you get to see the great Joe Calzaghe in his last few fights. Cherish it

You also get to see David Haye take on those big bruisers up at heavyweight, and win or lose it will be very exciting. He'll win mind

You also get to see Amir Khan develop into one of the best boxers on the planet, with his boxing skills, speed and power

    It's happy days really

Jeezuz are boxing fans fickle. Last night was a great night for boxing. Two of the sport's best fought in a widely publisised, massively talked-about fight. It was the type of fight that brought in casual fans and made them fans for life. This in a years which has seen the highest grossing fight of all time as well as important and big fights from Cotto-Mosely, Taylor-Pavlik and Calzaghe-Kessler to mention but a few. 2008 already looks great. Pavlik-Talvor II, Pacman-JMM II, the first unification math in the heavyweight division since 1999.
