So once GGG KO's Stevens who will he fight next? Quillin wants nothing to do with him same goes for Barker, Martinez is still injured. Now that Geale has lost his belt and bargaining chip do you think Golovkin will smoke him out of his rat hole in Tasmania for a fight? Who will step up to fight Golovkin next?
I would not mind Geale at all. In fact: I sort of miss that small number of monGEALEoids that used to claim he would beat Golovkin. That kas117 guy was their leader, I think. Probably had a breakdown. The constant memory of his Grandfather's molestation must have finally sent him over the edge. :yep All we have left are a bunch of Afrofags swinging from the nuts of Stevens and Quillen. They are far too dumb to be even mildly entertaining. At least kas117 was sort of clever.
Golovkin said he wants to fight the other champions, or anyone...........he would knock them all out!!!
Haha all the MonGealoids created their own forum somewhere else and no longer post here after their hero was defeated by a C level fighter in Barker. Kas117 could not face this place like a man after his hero was defeated. He has some real anger issues the majority of his posts are psychotic rants on anyone who doesn't think Geale is the best. Anyway I would love nothing more than to see Golovkin destroy Geale.
I always got a kick out of reading that guy's rants on here. As far as future opponents for Golovkin, it looks like the WBA is going to make Martin Murray the mandatory for the winner of Golovkin v Stevens. That's IF Murray doesn't decide to pull a N'Dam and drop the WBA Interim belt.
Thanks for the update. I was curious what happened to that crowd, particularly kas. Those jokes you would make about him being molested by his Grandfater still make me laugh.
Best fights but not going to happen soon: Sergio (only truly great opponent at MW) Quillin Good fights that could happen soon: Barker Geale Murray Up at 168, fights with all those guys are doable as Golden Boy/Showtime doesn't seem to have any stock up there at all (right?). I don't see Golovkin moving up in weight in the near future given what I've seen from everything in his career to this point --- edit: But yes, he will likely continue high activity with mediocre opposition until the fight makes sense for the above listed fighters.
I really hope we get to see him against one of the established names, but I'm afraid they will all keep not ducking him. (it makes no sense/rematch first/different TV station/the money isn't right/I'm injured again etc)
Murray is the mando apparently now, and progress is being made with Murray's visa by all accounts, so I'm hopeful of that for early next year. Geale's said he's game, but is aiming for the Barker rematch, I think Geale doesn't want to be handed back-to-back losses though, so unless the pay is real good... Barker is said to be looking at Sturm, though I can't see Sturm coming to the UK as he'd probably have to, being the challenger. If not Sturm I see a domestic like Lee or Macklin, I think he'd rather make some money off his belt than just up and give it to GGG. Obviously Sanchez has been talking Ward again, but I still think that's a bit away. Maravilla could be made, but since it'd probably be Sergios retirement fight, HBO would have to be willing to pay a lot of $s - but for the lineal they might see it as a worthwhile investment. Even Matvey Korobov has been mentioned, but he definitely needs to up his profile a bit. A good KO win against Grady Brewer, then a couple more fights against stiffer opposition could get him the slot, but I'd rather he took a different route to his own title first. Chavez Jr would be nice, depending how he shows 'gainst Vera, either at '60 or '68, but I think Arum wants no part of that. I suppose Rubio and Lee are in the picture too, though neither could really be considered as step up from Macklin. Gena has spoken himself about a match-up with 'Nelo, but as a GBP guy it can't happen, besides which, win or lose 'gainst Floyd, I don't think it's a fight Alvarez wants. People talk about GGG needing to step up, but outside of Maravilla, there is actually no challengers at 160 beyond those he's already faced. Jr, perhaps, Murray maybe and Quillin if it was possible, but he needs to start looking north or South, if not next year, certainly in 2015.
Murray is fine also. Glad to hear they are working on his VISA issues. Hell, Szpilka revently fought in the U.S. and he has an adult record where he did a stretch for beating up a rival rugby club fan at a boxing weigh in. IMO that sort of trump's Murray headbutting a guy at some chip joint as a teen. Rest assured it will not be Peter "Kid Ducksalot" Quillen anytime soon...
