I would like to see him KO the White Wolf. That guy has been wussing out for about 2 years now, but would probably be a decent heavyweight test.

What the **** is your problem? There is no sauce on a cheesesteak(unless you're getting a pizza steak). Regardless, I don't eat cheesesteaks. Furthermore, what did I do to you? The thread asked for potential opponents for Haye at HW and I suggested Harrison. What's the problem?

I'd like to see him fight James Toney as he has a diamond hard chin and a boxing brain. A tough 12 rounder against a big name in America to really improve his profile/bank balance.

now, there lies the very problem, suggesting audley harrison as a potential opponent,it just comes across in a typically 'hating' way,you know that USS would take haye out.haye is very legit,it's about time you started to recognise it.i aint being a fanboy by any means, but from what i have seen of haye (about 7 fights) im very confident that in 2 years he will be the undisputed hw champ (unless vitali can come back and surprise us all).

I think some of you Haye fans are getting too sensitive. All I did was suggest an opponent. Harrison would allow him to test himself against a legitimate HW puncher. Given, Harrison's glass head, Haye would be able to get him out of there before Harrison could give him too much trouble. He fights Harrison, he has almost no chance of losing, he gets a spectacular KO, and he gets to test his chin against a good punching HW. I don't see what the problem is.

Haye should fight Rahman. Good test, a name Americans recognize and a fight a lot of people would turn in to see. Let's allow Haye a little bit of time to adjust to heavyweight. I really think he is one of the best hopes we have at heavyweight and he's still fairly young so there is no reason to rush. He fights Rahman, wins, then fights Tony Thompson or someone similar, and then fights for a title.

Haye should jump right in there. He is big, fast , powerful and confident...........take the bull by it's horns.

I doubt McCall or Toney would last the distance against Haye at this point. McCall is nearly shot and Toney is shot, they both have iron chins, but they're too old now and their reflexes have declined a lot in the past few years. Both of them would get hit with too many bombs and get stopped in the mid-late rounds, maybe earlier.

David Tua would be a very interesting fight.. who knows about what the hell Tua is doing right now though and if he's even in shape.

Lamon Brewster would be a good, pretty safe test. I'm sure Brewster would want the fight too, so that seems like a realistic matchup.

Audley is also a great idea!

It really depends on what the plan is with Haye. Do they want to test him at HW or show him off?

If you want to test him and see what'll happen when he gets in there with a legit HW, a fight against a Ruiz or McCline type wouldn't be too bad. Dominic Guinn is always floating around and he seems to be the gateway to the HW division. One of those guys, a relatively risky but still safe enough that you're not risking much opponent. He might not be able to KO a McCline...which of course makes it a little more dangerous for Haye.

If you wanna showcase him, is there a better opponent than Hasim Rahman? A weak chinned name fighter who people will remember from the Lewis upset. Rahman at this point probably gets bombed out within 5 and in spectacular fashion by Haye. That would be a perfect "I'm here to stay!" moment for David Haye.

The Rahman move would be very smart and definitely generate a lot of hype. Rahman would get knocked out within 2 minutes of the first round.. it's a very low risk/big reward situation for Haye.

I seriously think Haye should fight the likes of Williams, Skelton & Harrison first. If he can't clean up the British fiasco for a start, he's going nowhere across the pond.

An ideal first 2 fights would be Dominic Guinn and Hasim Rahman.

I see none of these lasting more than 5 rounds.

Hasim Rahman seems like the perfect opponent for Haye to step back into the hw's to. A worthy test, and name to show he is a real threat at hw, and a reason to be allowed to get a fight for the title at hw right away. But i wont be dissapointed if he chose to fight 2 or 3 non top 10 guys at first to make sure he has a good feel for the weight. I think we all know this time next year Haye will be a even bigger name in the fight world.
