I want to hear everyones opinions on Andre Dirrel and Ander Ward.

I think Dirrel would beat froch and bute now. I've never seen dennis inkin fight so I can't say anything about him. I don't think dirrel is ready to fight someone like kessler so early either even though I know he would put up a hell of a fight there.

I think ward is solid also but all his fights are so easy that I don't know how much he's showing and haven't seen him in a tough match yet but I know those fights are coming soon. I still think that he would give anyone a good fight also but I want to see how he fights when he's forced to come out of his shell and let it go.

I think that both are at the bottom of the top ten right now...As long as they arent put in too high too early they will run the weight in about one to one and a half years from now.

Not sure that Ward will be at supermiddle too long, I think that he is having a tougher time with the weight.

Neither fighter is anything close to a "future king".

The closest thing to a future king Americans have around these weights is Chad Dawson, who is a present king at 175 and will definitely do well at 175 and possibly 200+ in the future.

Right now he could also cut a few pounds and beat any 168lber in the world at a catchweight.

Dawson beat Axe's sweetheart Adamek, so Dawson has forever more secured a place in Axe's bed time prayers.

    Don't take him seriously.

Direll and Ward are immense prospects and the best US upcoming boxers by a mile. I also think they will rule in a year or two. The only thing Dawson has on them is size. Direll is faster and much smarter than Dawson. Anyway, I expect them to be future p4p kings although I need a bit more from Ward. Direll has all the chances to be great. He has something as rare as high intelligence and has been so dominant against anyon he has met that it looks completely unfair every time he is in the ring.

Dirrel might make it at 168 lbs. Kessler will be very tough to beat though.

Chad Dawson is far from being future "king" in any division before he defeats Glen Johnson in a rematch, or beats other topfighters besides a shot Antonio Tarver! that my opinion..

i think dirrell is the real deal.

    dirrell v froch anyone. :yep

    i'm less sure about ward.

    cos of that chin.

like to see both stepped up to the top level in 09.

especially dirrell who has already fought a few decent contenders. :bbb

I just dont see what everyone else seems to with Dirrell..I though he was very unconvincing against Oganov and Stevens. A lot of flash and athletic ability but no real substance to it.

A top prospect who will soon be a top contender but I dont really see him as a next superstar or anything.

Froch certainly wont be a dominant champion or even a long reigning one IMO.

well, i'd say they're both worldclass fighters now....Ward looked great in his last fight, and Dirrell looked pretty good as well

funny thing is though, i used to think Dirrell was worlds apart better then Ward, but now i think Ward might be the better fighter....

but anyways, i cant see Dirrel beating Kessler or Bute...both would outbox him, and uhhh....i think Andrade, and Bika has his number as well, he pulls straight back after most of the time instead of side stepping, someone like Bika or Andrade who apply constant pressure would catch him backing up, probably KO him or atleast drop him, he still has some flaws that would be exploited by the upper echelon of the division

and as far as Ward goes, well.....if he fights like he did in his last fight i could see him beating everyone outside of Bute n Kessler, with his chin, he'd probably be stopped by those 2, but i think he can still make alot of noise in the division

hopefully they both do well, they've been improving alot, i'd love to see both these guys get there hands on a title

I like both Dirrell and Ward but they really have to step up the competition.
