fw and his matchmaker really need to take a long hard look in the mirror after the bout with lewis petitt and krystof rogowski. was speaking to one of the coaches from birmingham who was at the weigh in and he told me that the fight was made at 8st 12lb. rogowski came in on weight and petitt came in 5lb plus overweight. that was a day before weigh in, neither fw or any of his team asked lewis petite to make weight or even try get some off.

on the night petitt looked massive but lets be honest he looked terrible and if it wasn't for the weight difference i think he might have lost. if he stays at featherweight i would like to see him vs darren traynor in some sort of eliminator.

matchmaking like that and the fact that lewis petitt behaved totally unprofessional shocks me and imo it won't be long before a fighter gets seriously hurt unless thing change and the boxing board should really be stepping in and making sure that these guys travelling are not being made to risk their healths by having to box against the heavier guy or run the risk of not getting paid.

Wasn't the only mismatch in weight d.p Carr 9 St 9 lbs against a kid 9-4.
Petit will go back down to super ban wen he in title contention. Made me laugh how they mentioned fights for him but not once mention gamal yafai

no way does petitt ever do super bantam again unless they get him some serious cardio and a dietician but tbh it won't matter if he boxes at super bantam or feather he was getting hurt by rogowski and looked at times like he didn't want to be in there. he is area level at best but is probably a good ticket seller so will be kept fighting stiffs until he gets a shot at something.

that's the plan according to his Facebook re diet and training. Super ban at British title level is wide open so he cud win a British title. If he moved up to feather I cudnt see he doing that.

the diffrence being dp carr is the home fighter and would be expected to give away a few pound considering its an 80/20 fight in the home fighters favour, that fight was sore to watch imo

The board need to step in a cancel fights wherein one fighter hasn't even tried to make weight with their opponent still be guaranteed their purse. It's the only way to stamp out this nonsense.

that is the problem with eastern euro imports, they don't have proper managers just people looking for their money and if the likes of fw or any promoter threatens to not pay they will take an extra couple of hundred quid to throw their boxer in to be used as a punchbag.

if the board want to show they are better than the malta mob then this type of ruling would show that they really care for the boxers welfares and not filling the pockets of rogue managers and promoters.
