So you actually blame another fight for this one being off?

 

I presume those rumours posted by us ingrates from a few weeks ago in a thread read by 25 people about Selkirk pulling out were what caused the poor ticket sales.

I get that almost all promoters have there fighters selling ticketa these days but the Promoter still has to promote the show and sell tickets themselves. 3 tickets is pathetic, 1 show in 5 months is pathetic.

Also how do you expect a fighter like Stephen Smith to sell tickets for a fight vs TBA?

 

Do you think the other fighters will like being slagged off for not selling tickets.

 

Ha i like Eddie so was just joking but i do think coming off the back of David Price losing and Bellew being in a stinker that another boxing card in Liverpool was about as welcome as a fart in a divers suit.

 

There is no doubt that Frank revived boxing in liverpool but his recent run of shows has been **** poor and if there wasn't enough promotion for the show the buck stops with him although i still stand by the boxer's having to take some of the blame themselves. Part of any up and coming local boxer's job is to shift tickets, i'm not sure what kind of deal they have with Frank but something has gone wrong regarding this show and the bottom line was that it would be too much of a financial loss to put on.

 

But this show was meant to be before bellew fight it got postponed once! Selkirk saying he was pulled before on twitter

 

needs people on to sell tickits smiths arnt verry good tickit sellers so dont put them on get some other boxers on

Problem with this kind of show is it's not exactly setting the world alight,flyweight commonwealth title with unknown opponent supported by an in house middleweight bout between 2 British level lads and a load of **** nothing fights

How much is a ticket 40 quid or something when it's on tv and bellew fought last week

It isn't good enough quality and guessing first postponement was smokescreen hoping to sell extra tickets

 

I think its a couple of camera one general overview and one ringside. Obviously not top production value but definitely passable for tv. If a small hall promoter can do it surely Frank can.

I just dont buy that argument. I dont think its that expensive to film if done on a budget and lets be honest BN is a budget channel. He isnt cancelling these shows because he is worried about production values.

I agree for terrestrial bringing in presenters peronalities proper lighting a pro camera team and everything that goes with it would probably be much more expensive but i'm sure it can be done to a good standard cheaper. Loaded TV dont have a load of money splash on camera men etc and their shows are of a perfectly acceptable quality.

 

The difference in the rigging, lighting and cameras needed for very basic shows the likes Coldwell, Loaded and Hatton tv do and the ones Boxnation put on are like night and day. Once you've presented your audience with a certain standard of presentation you can't really give them inferior quality as most viewers wouldn't accept it.

 

sky and boxnation are also like night day its not like boxnation are setting a gold standard for production values is it

people would rather watch live boxing with **** production than a repeat of what happened last march with below average production

 

There is still a point where people won't watch. Loaded TV has been getting around 4000 viewers and its free.

 

if the 3 tickets sold is true FW would be best just making a studio and staging fights for boxnation television purposes maybe british and commenwealth title but the problem there is building a local support but not everyone of FW need to have every figt on tv, with a maybe 1000 seats where he would minimize the expense of moving all the equipment to where and setting up the show

i think i read thats what TNA wrestling do is film at the orlando studios for every show

 

That's actually true...what he should have done from the very start is invest his money in buying his own studio, lighting and rigging equipment which would have saved him a small fortune down the line. I think he's only just working this out having blown millions and also the fact that for a couple of these domestic shows like the one just cancelled in Liverpool he could have a Mayweather or Pacman fight instead which gets him far more subscriptions short-term so i think he's shifted his priorities and resources now to just buying international fighters instead and having Buncey and Lillis talking in the studio between fights which won't cost much.
