"The Board have ordered a rematch but it will be up to Maccarinelli if wants to do it again. Personally, I'd prefer he didn't fight any more and retire but that's his decision. The Board called Fallon to appear before the Midlands Area council for a 'ticking off' (pardon the pun) on Thursday to explain what happened and rumour has it he turned up early. The hapless timekeeper was suspended until January 1, 2013, which for him should see him back in action in November. After the fight senior BBBC official David Roden said to one of my staff: "You don't realize how hard it is to keep the time." How hard can it be to time three minutes and a minute's rest for 12 rounds? McPhilbin was angry and his fans demanded an explanation. To their credit, there wasn't trouble but one wonders who would have taken responsibility had a riot broken out." Wise words from everyone's favourite promoter :deal
Frank is a disgusting human being, he would have released Enzo from his contract ages ago if he actually cared about his health.
You do know FW already told him to retire? It was Enzo who wanted to keep going. FFS, Frank even got him work with BoxNation to keep him out of the game. But if he's going to fight, better he does it with the guy who's looked after him his whole career, than someone who'll just use his name.
Thats one way of looking at it, but **** that if i was Enzo's promoter i would have released him 18 months ago.
I think we all know that after the Mag7 debarcle Enzo should have packed it in. If he wants to fight again fine but he has nothing left to prove we all know how brave he is. Once the chin has gone it has gone. This is the same reason I think it is criminal that Skelton is talking up fights after the procession against the Ghost of Dallas.
