Ive heard great arguements for either winning...I dont know I just go with my gut and say Sanchez, just because I reckon Arguello didnt really bloom till the higher weights and Im basing a lot on their respective forms at just 126.

OK, that sounds fair enough, just a few things.....

The decade thing slipped my mind while typing & therefore Naz is the correct choice for the 90s.

I think it would be fine to include Morales of 2002 as most (including myself) thought he beat Barrera at 126 & of course his only other fight that year was one of his best ever vs a very good Ayala.

After seeing how close Barrera ran Marquez in their actual fight & considering Marquez is pretty much the same fighter now because he hasnt had a ton of wars then I believe the MAB of the Naz fight beats the JMM of the 1st Pac fight... in other words, Barrera was more past prime than JMM when they fought.

With all that said... Marquez is certainly too good to be considered the WRONG choice, its just a different choice than I would have made.

    :good

Oh... & Sanchez still wins the tournament, albeit going life & death with Alexis in the final.

    :thumbsup
