He'll try and put some **** fights on Sky and Adam Smith will refuse them, that is Franks way out.

 

Would he not try and put some of his fighters on other promotions, Eg; Gavin in with Theopane on a Hatton bill

 

Yup and that'll be bridges well and truly burnt.

Hope for his sake that Box Nation works or he's got no where to go

 

I saw on his facebook saying to someone that he does not need to fulfill these dates anymore. They must have sorted an agreement out to just wipe them by the looks of it

 

Well, I'm glad you raised this, Rob, seeing as no ****er else has.

I signed up with Sky for boxing a while ago. At the time I did, I was expecting several W*rren dates on Sky which, it looks like, I'm not going to get.

Ergo, I'm paying for something now (to Sky) which I'm not going to get. Why the **** should I be expected to pay for it a second time via C*ntNation?

One might say 'Well, you've had the equivalent for free on the new channel'. Er, no. I don't pay for a subscription service so all and sundry can watch it for nowt.

Then again, if he fulfils these dates on Sky, no bother.

Just seen on the Sky schedule that they have Simpson/Selby on 14th December (a Wednesday). Is that a ****** show?

 

Doubt that the bridges will be "burnt" as such. If boxnation fails, Sky will take them back. Remember that sky are a business and as such will not be slave to an ego. If it makes them money, frank will be back.

 

I think ******s doing this until sky warm to PPV again in a year or so, then ****** will wrap it up and go back to sky

The dates will likely go to Maloney, Hatton and the many other promotors hungry for TV dates. You'll get your money's worth.

Bear in mind that last year or so all of Wawwen's cards that were worth watching were on PPV, such as Magnificent Seven etc, so you wouldn't have seen those with your standard Sky Sports subscription anyhow.

Last year to see Fwank Wawwen's main shows you had to buy PPV. This year to see Fwank Wawwen's main shows you have to subscribe PPV. Literally nothing has changed.

As suggested by others in this thread, I reckon it's the lack of PPV revenue from Sky that's driven Fwank to fly solo. As to whether he'll get enough subscribers will be interesting to see.

 

I wonder if Frank will keep churning out domestic and international cards each week but when he wants to put on a big card, he'll go back to sky when they warm to PPV. He might then do his PPV cards via Sky who in turn can offer HD, more of an audience, better marketing etc

 

As I understand it, PPV dates are outwith the standard agreement. My simple point is that when I signed with Sky, Wawwen (like it) would have been putting some shows on as part of a subscription I'm now forking out for. If I want to see those now, I have to pay for a second time.
