Terrific boxing masterclass on the cards here between pep & sanchez here guys. Both at their absolute peaks, who takes it get voting now (comments are more than welcome too.) I`ll get my bit in later on.
I think pep might decision sanchez myself but sal would be in it to the end, just the defence of pep makes the difference IMO. Ps. McGrain was right after all, 5 days is far too long for a poll to last. Especially when you consider Ive got to do 5 more divisions + a final in each of those. Once these semi-final matches have run their 5 day course, the FWT final + the rest of the weight classes will be a 2 day poll. Cheers.
Sanchez had great potential, but circumstances meant we will never know he could he could of been, but we know Pep was mighty fine. Pep WU15 (10-5) it is a bit of an insult to suggest anything else on the evidence we have.
I agree with TBooze, basically, but no-one would have an easy night of it with Sanchez, no-one. Taking into consideration the evidence we have. SD,Pep.
As Ive stated before, 5 days is far too long for a poll & from the fwt final onwards all polls will be 2 days max. As soon as this thread makes it onto page 2, Im counting the votes, I cant wait until 3 more days so if you havent voted for your fav then get voting now. Oh, by the way.... pep W12/15 sanchez
At Willie's best, he was too fluent for the optimal performance Sal lived to display in his truncated life career and life. Sal was an all-time great athlete, so well conditioned that he could have succeeded in a second career as a tri-athlete. But Pep was more of a fluid natural boxer than Sal, and that's what I think would have tipped the decision in Willie's favor.
The fan's would win hand's down but I gotta go with Sal Sanchez in this one. The Original Ricardo Lopez/JMM Sal Sanchez had it all, it suck's we lost him right when he was about to peak.
