He didn't say anything about a breakdown in negotiations due to the drug issue. Not a word. Neither did Ellerbe, Schaefer, et al.


Ultimately, the fight will be made. Mayweather's vanity, hurt feelings at being called a coward by everyone under the sun (including, eventually, his celebrity friends -- behind his back, at least), and carelessness with money will lead him to sign on the dotted line.

Lets see. If he throws away 100 $100 bills an hour for the next year, he'll be spending 240,000 a a day. I figure that will last him a solid year, until the IRS come calling again.

If the testing was the reason, we would know. All reports say neither Haymon or Mayweather objected to what was in the contract. They just didn't want the fight.
